Good news and no news...

The consultation with the doctor went well. He explained the two types of reconstruction (which I won't go into but you can look it up online), I chose for the implant. He was rather nice saying that I was 'still young'...(good lord!) and estimated my cup size one bigger than I have thought it was. (He guess a C/D... I'm actually a C/B).
So anyway, he took pictures for insurance reasons, explained the process as far as the implant goes, (it's going to take longer than a few weeks...more like a few months, but I can go back to work during that time. I did forget to ask him how long I was going to be in the hospital  dangit. Oh, and because I'm getting an implant in one, then they have to ultimately plan for changing the shape of the other to match. I didn't ask if that was voluntary or was covered by insurance. Might have to call and ask him (or his assistant) for verification on that. Something else he said, which I don't know if I want to take it as a complement or what. They gave me a three page medical history form to fill out and I did my best about filling it out, forgetting to add Talib's condition, (which I told him about after the fact) and when the doctor came in and sat down he looked at my file and said, 'Well let me take a look at your history, since you took the time to fill it out.'
Hmmm.... now does that mean that most people don't fill it out? Or, I was late enough that it caused a kink in the schedule and he might as well look at it despite being cut for time?  It was just a minor pause in my impression of him. Other than that, he was nice enough, answered my questions, gave me all my options and let me know that we were going to have a much longer association than my general surgeon would have. Basically this procedure may last almost a year as things get adjusted and sized.
That's the tough part. It's not a simple matter like healing from having a baby. This is going to be a longer haul and still unknown whether I'm going to need chemo or radiation after the fact.

On the good news side of things, oldest daughter Kiri has had some bloodwork done as well due to her not feeling well for the past few weeks, and all the panels came back negative or 'within normal'.  On the high end of normal according to her, so she's going to ask the doctor about it.  I'm getting concerned that this is sounding eerily like what Talib went through. Please God no.
But at least she doesn't have AIDS, Herpes, Lupus or Lyme's Disease, RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis), Mono... but again, how many tests did Talib go through before they discovered his illness?
So that's the good and no news report.

And on the 'not related to anything else' end of things;
Does anyone have a more updated version of Photoshop Elements? I just discovered tonight that Version 2.0 is not compatible with Snow Leopard. I need at least 6.0 to be able to work with my new computer, and I really want to work on some images and photos.
Also my table for the convention in February is paid for, all that's left is getting confirmation back from them and getting things organized and set for display. Oh and, of course, making more items to sell without buying any more beads.
Riiiight.
Okay, going to go brush teeth and get to bed. Been getting tired earlier lately, very annoying. It was especially hot today, well into the 80's on the coast so that could have something to do with it.

Difficulties are meant to rouse, not discourage. The human spirit is to grow strong by conflict.-  William Ellery Channing

There is so much to say about that quote, I'm just going to have to leave it alone.

Pat, I've got elements V.4, sorry. It has so many features, I didn't need anything more. Seems Snow Leopard is a finicky cat. Can you use some new rechargeable batteries for yer camera? Let me know.
Love ya, Bart
