Something old, something new...

Wait, that's supposed to be for weddings. Well, not this time.
Something old.... me!  It sucks having age catch up to you!  I was looking at the photo of Talib on the 8th grade trip and ... I look like him!  OR he looks like me... weeirrrd. Of course not that weird because brother Dave looks like dad!  When I saw him for the first time in years when he got married in Vegas, I had to do a double take because he looked so much like dad! Recently I've been looking in the mirror and realizing that I look a lot like mom. Now, when I saw Talib's photo, it must have been the angle or the light because it looked like my own face only with shorter hair.
::heavy sigh::
Tomorrow is 'D' day. I'll be getting a call from the surgeon about whether it's going to be a lumpectomy or mastectomy. I won't be able to post and give people an update until after I get home from work, but believe me, I'll post as soon as possible.
Now for the new!
I made itty bitty preemie size name bracelets for the twins. Well, their initials since on a tiny infant 'Wesley' is a huge word even using quarter inch letters.
Check them out:

Yep, those are pennies inside the tiny bracelets. I showed the first one to my roommate and she wondered if they were too small. 'They're twins and they'll be a month early. This is about right'
Besides, it's on stretchy cord so it will fit for a few weeks or a month. Then I just remake them bigger and eventually make them nicer too. The letters and hearts are plastic, the green and yellow beads are actually frosted blue glass and natural mother of pearl. The 'black' beads are 'cat's eye' beads in dark charcoal grey.
It is doubtful that Amber will be giving birth to huge babies, but even so, these are easy to change to a larger size. I was going to make them kind of 'hippie' like with an adjustable cord, but I figured if they had to stay in the hospital for a time then plastic and glass were 'cleaner'.
Oh, here's a shot of me before and after the hair cut. (horrid Photobooth shots by the way...)

That's the door to my room behind me, and I rearranged the furniture in the week between the two shots.
But you can see (those of you reading that remember our mom) my chin, mouth and eyes I think are from her. I even have those little wrinkles on the upper lip. I am thankful that I didn't get her nose!
Okay enough show and tell, it is now after midnight and I really should be getting to bed! I made the mistake of having a 16 oz Coke at lunch time, lasted me for a few hours but it is keeping me up and awake way past my bedtime.

Expect news when you hear from me!
Oh, don't want to forget the quote!

"They told us not to wish in the first place, not to aspire, not to try; to be quiet, to play nice, to shoot low and aspire not at all. They are always wrong. Follow your dreams. Make your wishes. Create the future. And above all, believe in yourself."

Wow, your features come from your mom? How wierd!! I guess I just have a vivid imagination because looking at you I think you features look like they came from Jane Fonda???wtf? n oyea good pictures. Its amazing, you look older in these pictures but not having seen you in a long time, your writing still appears like it would if I were talkining to you back in the 70's. How wierd, people never do change. Except for me. I quit changing a long time ago when I dropped the high grain alchol from my diet. Still over 20 yrs since. But if you want to get a look at me now, check out bonesonrong pic at Talibs blog. Thats me David. I weigh about 240 so my tummy is like "Pregnant".
Do you want to send me that hard drive or not?
