Okay so it's been a week (and a bit)

Okay, on to the big news.
The twins arrived!
Thursday morning at approx. 10:30 and 10:35, Wesley and Andrew weighed in (and this is the first of many confusions to come, don't remember who was what) 5lbs 14 oz and 16 lbs. and both were within fractions of each other at 18 inches.
I have this one as the wallpaper for my ipod.

They're supposed to be identical but right off I can see a difference. Andrew on the left was head down for so long his head is smooshed a bit smaller. That will change over the next few weeks of course. They're all expected to come home today (Sunday) so it looks like I'll be making a lot of trips after work over to see them.
Amber's a champ, but she's going to need a lot of help. So lots more photos to come.

Now then, as for me.
For those that are not in contact with me on a regular basis....
The gall bladder has to come out. I saw the surgeon, (who talked to me like I was a 10 year old about the digestive tract) and he said to give it two weeks, to make sure any inflammation is down, then come back and schedule the surgery. He's got me on a NO fat diet. Which of course his hard as hell to keep on. I've decided that I'm eating a lot less fatty foods. No hot dogs, no eggs, bacon, sausage, hamburgers, gee..that kind of leaves out most of my diet. Very little mayo, no Italian or Mexican food...no cheese laden dishes...
::SIGH::
Waaah!
But! (said with the same inflection and gestures as Papa from American Tail)
After surgery I can go back to most of my regular diet. Yay!

My expansions are all done for the next six weeks, then go back for that and have the next stage surgery scheduled. Will be asking him how the other one will be taken care of and if that was going to be done at the same time. So if that is the case I'll be sore on both sides! I am sincerely hoping that by Summer all of this will be done and I can start thinking about going on that road trip I wanted to take.

I have an appointment with an oncologist named Dr. Meera Ravindranathan (alrighty....). Her first name bodes well for me at least. (Mira Furlan is an actress from Babylon 5, different nationality but still ...)
So, that's moving in a forward direction, and I get this sneaking suspicion that everything is going to happen between now and mid February which hopefully will not put a cramp in my plans to go to the convention at the end of that month. I'm glad I signed Katie up to sit at my table because if I can't make it, then she can be there.
Okay...
I think that's it for now.

With work and the babies and everything it's been a hectic week for me.

"The saying, 'Getting there is half the fun.' became obsolete with the advent of commercial airlines."   Henry J. Tillman.

And those that say 'Life is a journey'... um, can I please fly first class instead of walking?
