Not much to report

Our technical final move out date is March 5. I told Sandy we planned on being out by the first.
Still no place to move to. One long shot but won't know until I get a reply from the person.
The complex I mentioned previously around the corner actually put a for rent sign out. I called, turns out you have to have your Section 8 paperwork in hand. Otherwise a 2bd/2ba is $2045. Current wait list time verified by her, 10 years.
Yeah so we have 'no box to move into' as Jon says and we are now a week and a few days away. Packing is mostly done, clothing, kitchen and furniture is all that's left.
I find it really frustrating that when I tell people he still doesn't have a job they ask, 'Is he looking?' or when I say we don't have anywhere to move the same question from some individuals.
No, we're just sitting at home waiting for the house fairy to come wave her wand and drop something in our lap.
Honestly.. people don't think before opening their mouth.
Every room I've looked at on Craig's list has been ruled out.
Too expensive,
Don't take couples/cats
Too kinky
Furnished (one place had pictures that nauseated me of all the patterns, colors and knick knack stuff in the rest of the house)
Rent to own scams
Other type of scam
Too restrictive  (want specific gender/age/type)

I actually replied to one ad with 'This is only a test, if this were a real inquiry I would be asking for an address'. I got back a 'Yes this room is still for rent please go to this site for more information'. Right.
I ask for an address in all my replies to double check on real estate sites like Zillow.

I am searching 30 miles from work in any direction. That makes it a 45 minute commute to work but almost anything at this point. People are taking advantage of the housing issue by renting out garages, trailers, mobile homes and calling them 'studio' or 'tiny home' for waaayy more than they are worth. I have to consider not only having a cat but Jon's claustrophobia. He's willing to go anywhere with me and I want him to be happy and comfortable no matter where we are.
At this point, we're looking at hotel hopping and using my tax money just to do that.

Please keep those thoughts and prayers going for a positive note this weekend.
