#3 of First Four tomorrow

There might have been some confusion with my treatment progression so I'll recap here.  I have a total of eight treatments every other week. The first four are a pair of drugs that, so far, haven't been too nasty. A little nausea, my hair has fallen out, but energy is good and so is my appetite. Though sometimes I don't know I'm hungry until I chow down on a large plate of food like a fiend. The second half of the treatment is the same sequence but a different drug called Taxol. From all reports this is the one that might cause some issues.  So mid-April that starts up and finishes the first week of June. I don't know what happens during that sequence, I may end up going on disability. I have no idea.  As always, I will keep people posted here as much as possible.
so... other than that, work has been work, life has been life. Car is functioning again so by all indications things are running as smoothly as possible.
Oh, I got a new desk courtesy of a knitting friend that had to move overseas. It is smaller than the table I was using and the computer screen fits just nicely in the hutch with the printer over it on a shelf. Nicely, nicely, and metal brackets for books up on the top. The area where a CPU tower would go I'm using for my trash can and the multi plug bar for all the cords so those are out of the way. Overall, a much more organized space... with all the random papers that were on the floor and desk shoved in the drawer. uhh..right. I'll get back to you on the organized part.

 Trying to get some knitting done for myself, a purple sweater has a glitch in it, same with a hat... I just can't seem to knit stuff for myself without having issues. I've done scarves... that's about it. Maybe it's psychological.
I did a little writing on my story, though it's one of those things that is kind of floundering because I had to add something there but didn't have a direction so... I may end up trashing it and rethinking that particular scene.
I probably mentioned it already but, given the current time frame of my treatment, finishing up in June, wait for my body to recover from chemo... then I have my reconstruction surgery which will take about six to eight weeks to recover from that, puts it in August or September. I will be planning on a birthday party someplace to accomodate as many people as possible in October.
My birthday falls on a Sunday so a Saturday party is inevitable so I will be inviting anyone and everyone that I can think of that can make it. Now..as some of you may remember, my plans don't usually have a good follow through. Karma, fate, Murphy, you name it usually interferes and the plans fall through. So the more I plan, the less likely it will happen. I am hoping that I have broken that bad luck streak.
But keep the date saved for Oct. 8. The number of my birthday isn't important, it's the events that have happened leading up to then that is to be celebrated and remembered.
Or forgotten and swept under a rug ::smile::.
So anyway, going to go get something for breakfast and then get ready for work. Today's quote is rather... apropos (wow! spelled that right on the second try!)

"It is only possible to live happily ever after on a day-to-day basis." - Margaret Bonnano

Have no idea who that is, but raise your hand if you have personal confirmation of this.
::raises hand::
Class dismissed.
