Better than last time..

They changed my anti nausea med with the iv to something that should last for three days. Yesterday it got a little rough about nine hours after treatment but I also hadn't taken a nap after either. Ate modestly, keeping track of what I had of course and also discovered a side effect of the compazine (the second of the two part chemo). The last few days, since last weekend I believe I've been sneezing more. I don't usually sneeze unless it's a Santa Ana condition, call it seasonal allergies. Well I started sneezing maybe two or three times during the course of the day. Since it's spring I thought.. ah something's blooming that I'm reacting to. Well during my session my nose started stinging on the inside like I had just snorted water or ammonia to the point that my eyes started watering too. I mentioned it to the nurse and she said, 'oh yeah that's one of the side effects, it's usually temporary'. Which it was thankfully, it only lasted maybe a minute or so, but my sinuses are kind of wonky now. I can deal with that, we'll see how the rest of the sessions go. I'm also kind of jittery this morning, slightly shaky hands but that could be from pre-breakfast empty stomach that I get sometimes. Again, will keep a note of it for future reference.
Two more sessions and then we get into the nasty stuff, taxol. am not looking forward to that one given everyone else's reactions.
I get to go babysit the kids tonight so Dan and Amber have a date night in exchange for getting my brakes done this weekend. Yay.
I'm going to try and get a new phone plan and phone this weekend also, I've been spending more money on time than it would cost for a monthly plan from Cricket. I am hoping to keep my phone number as well, but will alert people if that doesn't happen.
Other than that so far, so good , last time I only worked for 6 hours at the fabric store the day after and 2 hours at the  nursery on that Friday, so with the reduced reaction this time I'm hoping to make it through the full work shifts.
Oh and speaking of that... the manager Linda I spoke about? She still hasn't come to me to ask about this blog but she talked to Kathleen about noticing that it had changed to invite only. Her theory, 'well you know she's talking about people at work'. Kathleen didn't say anything since her mom reads this and not her. She told her that she sees me at work constantly if there's anything she needs to know from me we'll talk.
Now.. going to get the quote and sign off here. Had a bowl of cereal and will look at something else for breakfast as well as fixing something for lunch.

"The real hero is always a hero by mistake; he dreams of being an honest coward like everybody else."  - Umberto Eco

So true.. heroes come in many forms and types. My saying for heroes and cowards:

The difference between a hero and a coward on the battlefield is the direction they are running when under fire.
