It has now been over 6 weeks since I broke my arm and it is healing nicely. I'm now down to a velcro brace (the black kind you see other people wear). It is now 9 days until Trista is gone. Cannot wait for that weekend!
She had given us a flat screen tv, her old one since she got another one from a friend. A week ago we took the vacuum to get tuned up since the belt kept slipping off. We didn't bother giving her a heads up because...well she never tells us anything either. She texts me while I'm at work, Jon is out and about shopping, and asks where it is. I tel her and she goes and sells our tv so she can buy a vacuum. She had put some carpet powder down and didn't bother getting the vacuum first. So yeah, sold it because she couldn't let her puppy out into her room with that powder on the carpet. I was furious.. dry mouth angry a half hour left of my shift. We bought a stand for it too, two separate supports, she couldn't figure out how to get them off so she sold it as is. Without the remote. Which was just sitting there on the table next to the tv.
Her reasoning was 'I gave it to you so I took it back.'
Oh and she honestly thought that all my days off were because I wanted to stay home.. she had no clue about part time schedules are just that. There is so much wrong with the way her head works...

So anyway....
We got a replacement from Sandy (landlady) but it is smaller and not the same quality. We'll survive. Jon has one in storage.
Backing up a bit, Jon was fired from Home Depot for idiotic reasons... customer complaints that should not have been taken seriously. So when Trista found out she went ballistic drunk.
I was at work and Jon had to sit in our room with Rocky while she played Flight of the Valkyries on repeat for four hours, storming in and out of her room.
She pushed him out of the way when he was standing in our doorway and he just closed the door and stayed there.
I was at work and couldn't do anything about it, worried sick something was going to happen. Well while she was storming, she was also texting Sandy almost constantly about how she was going to sue her and have cops come and remove Jon...drunken ranting. The issue was Sandy was dealing with her mom who is in failing mental and physical health.
Sandy had no choice given all the issues Trista caused and had to give all of us a 60 day move out notice last month. Technically June 16 would be our move out day.
But it isn't for us. I was able to get my 401k money and paid off my back rent and current rent. Sandy was gracious enough to let Jon and I stay the entire month of June free if we help clean and spruce up the condo. No problem with that at all, she also said if we needed a little extra time just let her know.
So now, we are planning a 'Ding Dong the Witch is Gone' party on 4th of July.
On the plus side, I finally got full time status! 11-7:30pm with Tues/Wed off.
Just after we got our 60 day notice.
When Jon lost his job and then the move out notice I realized it was a perfect opportunity to head north to Washington. The notice wasn't only because of Trista, Sandy has been renting to us for way under market value and she's been losing money. I am going to see if I can negotiate for a slightly higher rent for a few months. (And yes Jon filed for unemployment, he's waiting for the determination in the next day or two).
Everyone at work is being very supportive and moaning about how they'll miss me and my knowledge.
I'd love to stay at that store and with Home Depot but San Diego is too expensive for where we need to live.
I'd rather work at an actual nursery again of course and so that is part of our strategy for moving
There are so many complications, Jon has no job, I'm slowly bringing my credit score back up but moving to a new area without a job to transfer to, we have no verified combined income.
We'd really like a house of course but despite it being cheaper up there, still can't afford even a rent/lease to own.
One of my coworkers has very good connections to friends up in Washington near where we want to settle (South Tacoma and slightly east). She offered to get names and numbers as well as possible job connections for Jon. Going to see if she's there this coming weekend and ask for more details.
Rent is more reasonable for a 1 or 2 bedroom but some won't consider anyone who has a low credit score or don't have combined income 2-3x the rent.
I've considered buying a plane ticket for Jon to go up and look for a job but then he doesn't drive and would have to live in a hotel and take either public transit or whatever so that's out of the picture.
I just know there is something coming that will give us a break I just don't know what or when.
So anywho...
On another note my physical therapist is great, I have three more sessions and possibly more if she thinks I need them. Arm is slowly getting stronger though today I think I overdid it giving Rocky a bath. He's gotten stronger since the last time I bathed him, thankfully Jon was here and helped hold him.
Wrist is feeling achey right now so need to stop typing and rest.
