While helping at work to bring carts in from the parking lot on Saturday, I stumbled sideways and fell to the pavement. Luckily I was with another male employee and he saw what happened. As soon as I sat up, I knew my left wrist was broken. Immediately took my watch off and let my coworker help me up. He was apologizing and asked if I was all right. I said no without hesitation. Normally I can do a quick assessment and say I was okay, not this time.
I am typing with one hand so this will be short.
X ray confirmed it was a break just behind my wrist on my ulna bone. Might need surgery. Jon is an absolute dear, Amber drove up to work to take me home when I got back from the hospital. Jon wanted to call out to work the next morning (Sunday) I told him firmly no, he needed to be at work. Luckily I have monday - thursday off, he has tue/wed off. We had planned on going to Disneyland this week.
Have to call orthopedist Monday morning to make appointment.
Oh and roommate might as well not be here. No offer of help, only sympathetic words. I was in the kitchen fixing food and she was heading outside to smoke. wrote her rent check and pinned it to the board. oh and shes getting a puppy at the end of this month.
That little jagged piece sticking out on the left side of my wrist is the break. I'm done.
