We had planned on moving out before the end of summer but it seems we'll be staying here for a while.
Money is running tight for moving, I can't qualify for a decent home loan due to income and credit. Have to have a verified job if we're moving to Washington and that hasn't come through yet on my end. Jon is looking for jobs here in San Diego so put the good vibes and prayers for him.
IF that happens then we can survive here until next spring then I can bank my tax return money (barring calamity, car or other interference) and build up our savings again and my credit should be much better by then.
Wedding plans are on hold until we know what we're doing next year, there's a chance we may postpone it for another year. Again, no money for any kind of wedding, I'm currently putting together an outfit but I may change my mind on that and use it for Star Wars Celebration instead.
So everything is up in the air right now as far as solid plans go.
At least I found my divorce papers and have a copy of my birth certificate just in case.
I finally moved my sewing table (the big white one) and my small craft table and beads into the spare room. The carpet still needs to be replaced but if we're staying here for a while might as well make use of the room.
I made a point of doing my rough wedding plans immediately for this very reason. I haven't reserved the park area we looked at yet thankfully but that may also change to an indoor venue somewhere more convenient. Also the date may change. Someone was surprised we weren't having it on May 4th but it's much colder in May and if I were to change the date it would be closer to August and the Celebration.
I've gotten back into beading now that things are moved. I made a necklace for a new shirt I got at Costco.
I've now got several tropical style shirts and need to make jewelry to match some of them.
On to some more painful news.
While getting ready and moving around this morning, Rocky got in my way and I attempted to swing my foot over him but in the process caught my little left toe on the corner of the wall.
Yep, I looked down and saw my little toe making a left angle from where it should be. Not 90 but it was definitely either broken or dislocated.
I had to leave work early as it was painful to walk around and be functional. I had taped it with a cotton ball between it and the other toe and by the time I got home it was definitely bruised and swollen. Ice and elevate you bet, as best as I could at least. Don't think anyone wants to see that close up but needless to say it looks a lot like my elbow and arm after I broke it.
Despite all that, I'm still happy. I am thankful every day that Jon and I met, we are still discovering many things that we both like in the way of food, music and geekiness.
Dark or semi-sweet Chocolate anything, check
Tiramasu, check
Almost every restaurant I've taken him to he's loved the food (if he didn't neither did I)
Mexican/Hispanic food, check (though he can't tolerate sour cream)
Italian food, check
Disney/Star Wars/Trek and all geek stuff, double check (he used to own his own comic shop)
Billy Joel/Neil Diamond/John Denver, check (I'm not as much a fan of Elvis but hey..)
Dislike hot sticky summer weather, check
Dogs/cats as pets, check
Kind, considerate, thankful, appreciative of little things I do... double check.
So yah, we'll get married eventually but for now, we're happy being with each other.
