Interesting enough, I'm feeling better now than I did yesterday or last night. Nurse actually called me to follow up on my message asked additional questions, how long this had been going on, all that details. No vomiting, no severe pain, no dehydration issues no obvious blood in stools. No severe dizziness and ruled out it being viral thankfully as she was jotting down notes and my answers. At the end she said to keep to the BRAT diet, more vegetables, lay off any carbonated or milk products.... whoopsie, had two cokes and a bowl of cereal this morning. Just for the sake of digestion really which the other nurse didn't mention at all. So she's going ot send off all that information to the doctor and when she asked if I wanted to get a different prescription than the pravastatin I told her not at this time, going to let my system settle out and then see what goes on down the road. She noted that and would pass it on to the doctor.
So. Just finished a bowl of stuffing with zucchini and yellow squash with some shredded cheese. This is why I can never follow instructions regarding food. I eat what I want unless my body says otherwise.
Not really confused but just confounded by the situation. Since the pravastatin is a 'non-critical' medication at this point I don't feel pressured into finding an alternative. My cholesterol numbers were over the edge into high but not dangerously high. So it's a moderate preventative, but if it causes this kind of situation I will do a better job of eating foods that are not high in cholesterol. Oh and Jon doesn't have any problems with his version, although I've noticed more toots but that could be any number of things he's been eating. So that's the update. Hope to hear back from the doctor tomorrow but if not won't be until Friday since Thursday is Thanksgiving.
Hope you all have a day of family and food and thankfulness all around. I am most definitely blessed with family and friends that are giving and gracious in my times of need.
