I think I had a good karma day

On Thursday at the fabric store. Small stuff but it made me feel good again.
I'm in charge of the yarn department..as you might guess and there's one section of an aisle where the shelves are all at odd distances due to odd size yarn in the past. Well, we have discontinued so much yarn that two shelves are almost empty and I saw a way of making all the shelves run straight down the aisle. I showed my idea to my manager, Peggy, and she said sure, we'll do that next week. Well it's been so slow in the evenings that I just got in there and moved two of the shelves in about an hour and a half. Yarn spilled onto the floor, but when I got done, it looks a helluva lot better. Yay! Like I said, it's a little thing but it gave me a sense of accomplishment.
The second thing was a customer who... made her own things or was marketing something.. I forgot the detail exactly, but I mentioned that I was trying to sell my jewelry online and it wasn't very successful. I told her that I didn't have much time or money to do extensive advertising and she asked for my url and would pass it on to some of her clients and connections to put the link up on their sites. Yay! Hope that works out.
Third... I did a good deed.
Some of you guys remember the hill we had to climb to go home, there was one stretch where it was very steep and long. Well, there's a canyon back road that I take between my place and Beverly's and it's a good steep, slightly curved road. If you don't use your brake and start at the top of one hill doing 30 you can hit 45 and almost 50 by the bottom. Well, I was coming home and up ahead on the side of the road there was a wierd blue lamp type light swinging and doing a good clip of speed when I got up close it was a pizza guy carrying some empty pizza cases and his sign from the top of the car.
Oh man! The poor guys truck broke down! I couldn't stop because it was a two lane road, but by the time I got back up the other side, I turned around as fast as I could and went back to go get him.
I asked the stupid question, "Do you need a ride?" He hesitated actually, but I turned back around and he got in. He didn't say his name, I didn't see his tag, he worked at the Mountain Mikes a half block from my place. I think he was a bit shocked that I gave him a ride, he couldn't have been more than early twenties. He said that he thought his timing belt broke and hoped he didn 't do more damage to the engine. I sympathized about engine problems and by that time we were at the pizza store and he got out with enthusiastic thanks. I didn't get a free pizza, didn't expect any and all I did was tell him my name.
That was a feel good day for me karma wise.

Physically, my hands have been killing me with the arthritis. I think I ate too much salt and other stuff last week and it's caught up with me. I've been meaning to call the doctor and get an assessment done and maybe some x-rays to see just what's going on in my joints.
I'm giving a class at work today (Saturday) on Fuchsias because the person that was supposed to do it doesn't work at the nursery anymore. At the end of the month I'm doing double duty and giving a class on Children's Gardening and later in the day, a much bigger class on Water Wise Gardening. We expect a HUGE crowd for that so I'm prepping with lots of hand outs for that.
Oh, and it's a glorious morning today!
After two or three weeks of the 'May Gray' and turning into 'June Gloom' today is going to be gorgeous!! When I woke up and saw the sun shining through the trees all I could think of was the 60's song that starts 'It's a beautiful morning...'. Smokey Robinson?
We've been listening to 60's music at both works... it's a bit on my mind lately.
Oh, and my two knitting students took business cards for my etsy site as well. Hope they find something they like.
It's almost 7:30, have to decide whether I want to get a shower before work, then need to see how much money I have for lunch today.
Oh and Amber and Dan may have a place to live before the end of the month, don't want to jinx it... but it's a very high probability. YAY!

Have a great weekend everyone!
