Someone tried to steal or take parts of my car last night and set off the alarm. Which I didn't hear being dead asleep.
This morning, the battery was dead, roommate was already on her way to her job so I had to hoof it on the bus and thus being late for work.
The good side is, I didn't have anything worth stealing and the car alarm went off which also triggers the cut off ignition. THANK YOU FOR THE FULLY LOADED JEEP!
::sigh::
I will add to this post tonight after knitting to fill in on other stuff.
Okay (it is now 11pm) roommate and I are prepping apartment for carpet cleaning tomorrow morning. Since I have work, and some of the furniture is going in the kitchen, we have to get up early to get breakfast/fix lunch. I can't do much with the stuff in my room until tomorrow morning anyway since the best place for it is on the bed.
As for my car, it is now acting weird. I have to keep the RPM's up so it won't die when I stop. Did the battery drain kill the alternator? Is it a belt? Is it a problem that I've been ignoring for the past few weeks and only now is making it a pain? This is what I was expecting as the next 'shoe fall'. 'All I need now is for the car to act up, and I don't get paid until NEXT Friday.' At least the rent money is safe and sound in my savings.
I have about twenty dollars in the bank to last me until the seventh or next Friday whichever comes first.
I got the call from radiology, made an appointment for next Thursday for the second biopsy. Again, I have to take that day off work, the appointment is at 3, downtown. If it had been Tuesday or Friday I would have been able to work for half the day. But since the fabric store has extra people, she can cover my absence. This also gives me some time to relax and ... well relax or try to.
After that, since it's on a Thursday, as good as they've been about getting back to me, I may well have a call on Friday, at the latest Monday.I hope I have money on my phone still!
It's kind of funny, whenever I've met people that I haven't seen in a while, they ask, 'How you doing?' My usual answer (other than 'ok' or pretty good') has been, 'I'm surviving.'
That takes on a whole new meaning now.
That reminds me, I need to send an email to Bart, he called me and I couldn't take the call because my phone battery was dead.
Sorry bro!
Just keep reading these posts... I explain a lot so you have to take the time and read it carefully.
On the plus side, I was contacted by the person in charge of the dealers room at the local convention I'm attending next year. (ConDor Science Fiction convention) They have room in the dealers room and asked if I needed electricity, I don't that I know of, and started going into details about who else will be there. I had to tell him actually I was at work and I would get the details from his email (which hasn't come yet). I told him I would pay by paypal when I got the forms.
I then checked my balance when I got home. I need to put some more sales in that account. I have $66 and the cost of the dealers table is $60.
Ooh.
I also realized that I may be charging a bit low in some cases because PayPal charges .65 for transactions that involve a non-paypal buyer.
Oh well. Not the end of the world, but I think adding on .75 wouldn't deter most people from buying.
Well that's it so far in a nutshell. (ummm, coconut shell but what the heck). I want to thank everyone for keeping me in their thoughts and prayers, any positive energy is good.
And now for the quote that kind of works with my previous post about the coworker who didn't understand the ball joke:
"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
- Dr. Seuss
