I've been geeking out...

Since I wasn't able to go to Comic Con this year I've been reading reports, news bits and meeting with some friends to get the latest news.
That's why I haven't been posting here, nothing new to report except for entertainment stuff I've found.
There won't be any personal news until after Tuesday. I'll be sure to post then with everything that is coming up.
I met with two friends that I know through a Babylon 5 fan group I've been associated with for almost seven years. They come into town for the con every year and I only missed last year for our meet up. We met in Old Town and had a wonderful time at dinner, you know you're in San Diego on vacation when the mariachi band played the theme from the Barney kids show then slid into the theme from Loony Tunes!  We just about spit out our food laughing!
A lovely time was had by all, and I know I shouldn't have had the cheese enchilada and chile relleno but it's my traditional meal at a Mexican restaurant. I thought the waiter said it was going to be chicken but I guess he heard me change my order to cheese. Oh well. I had four pieces of watermelon when I got home.
So this is the weekend I get to geek out, tomorrow is knitting night which is being held at a group members home instead of Starbucks. Potluck with friends and chatting about whatever comes up. Then, Tuesday and the MRI. No special prep except for don't wear any jewelry, that's fine, what about natural jewelry that doesn't have any metal? I won't take the chance and put it in my purse. I will go to work in the morning and leave about 12:30 so I can get to Mira Mesa in time. If I get out fast enough I might go back to work, not like it's a serious procedure or anything. Dang, have to remember to drop off paperwork for the doctor to sign for disability and time off.

Well, have to get a shower before it gets too late to do it before work.
Latest geek stuff that's fun: Avengers movie cast all on stage at the same time, new trailer for Tron: Legacy (though the previous trailer was better imo), James Cameron is working on the next Avatar film instead of directing Forbidden Planet. Joe Straczynski is working on several projects, none of which he can talk about...
That's about it... don't know if anyone reading this cars about all that but it's fun stuff for me! And that's what really counts isn't it?
