Re: Devon (no news)

I have said that you can show Devon that we still love and care about him by sending him emails while he's in jail. Please do so, I think it's very important to him.
I was trying to come up with another way of showing him support as well as trying to raise money for him.
What came to mind was Devil Duckies. He was on the robotics team at Madison and their mascot is a Devil Ducky. He loved being involved with the team and it helped him grow a lot. I have one in my car as a mascot and also a pencil topper on a chain that they made to hand out to supporters. I am wearing that while I'm at work.
The phrase that came to mind was 'Duckies for Devon'. I was looking for a way of buying more of the pencil toppers (or even the mini ones that are just 2") offer them for sale on Facebook to get the widest possible coverage and the proceeds from them would go to his account while he's there. Once he's out, the money can stay in an account that earns interest to be used for school, work or whatever is needed, he won't have access to it directly.
So, anyone else think this is a good idea?
We all still care about him very much, he just made a poor choice and needs to know that we are still family and want to see him succeed.
We're hoping that he gets out in another week or so, but if... by the wildest chance, they decide he does get sentenced to the two year max (which Dan doesn't feel he will) we need to really be supportive of him.

Who's in on this with me? Is it wishful thinking or what?
