Blarg... but I had fun!

I think next year I'm going to save up enough money and time to do Disneyland on 2 or 3 days not both parks in one day with five people.
It was busy of course, the lines were long, (shortest wait was maybe 15 minutes) and we didn't get to see all the things and rides I wanted to but Ava had a blast and that was the point of the trip.
We took a total of 90 photos and 10 videos, used up one pair of batteries in my new camera and filled both  my 1 GB card as well as putting some video on the small 128k card CJ gave us for the spare camera.
That doesn't include about ten pictures and two videos that were trash.  Not too shabby. I didn't get the one shot that I really wanted of Ava standing next to the Walt and Mickey statue but oh well, every trip is different.
Her favorite ride was Soaring Over California, when we got off she was soo enegized! She said, 'When I grow up I want to... you know the people that are in planes...?'  'You mean pilots? The people that fly the planes?'  'Yeah!  I want to be a pilot!'.
One of the things we did was point out to her all the history of flight and pilot pictures while we were walking (and standing) in line to get into the ride. She was fascinated by the pictures of old planes and bits and parts of planes. It was like a mini history lesson for her. (CJ did a great job of pointing them out to her.) I wish the line had gone a little slower this time so she could have absorbed a little more.
Oh, checked everything but the charge on my phone! And the one thing I didn't bring was my phone charger to plug in!  I could have charged it on the train ride up! So that caused a little problem but Devon had his phone and I could still access numbers on mine.
I left my knitting and a light saber light that I bought for Ava in CJ's car. Oh well, something has to be left behind or it wouldn't be a trip to Disneyland!
So lots of pictures to be made into a slide show..
I'll post again to talk about my continuing car issue..have to take it back to the mechanic this morning... sigh.
