Continuing on best I can.

I have learned my lesson on posting during my vacation now. But I was supposed to be enjoying myself and get away from being online. (I failed of course but didn't do it the way I should have.)
Okay.. let's see where were we.
Oh yes hilarity on the island.
So, I believe it was Saturday night that there was the super moon. After dinner and chores, Devon said he had checked out the island areas earlier and knew where the best place was to see it. Said it was at the boat launch (or something like that) and Miki says 'I think I know where that is', Devon shows her the google map on his phone and she nods sort of. I was going to suggest a little more in depth visual but he was kind of antsy to get going. We all get our shoes on and instead of taking one car (since we would have to take the dogs) he drove ours while I went with Miki.
So, knowing the rough lay of the island by now, we get to the end of the driveway and Devon turns left when I know the spot he was talking about was likely further interior or at least Eastward.
Huh? I texted him to ask where he was going and he said 'Taking my way'.
Miki says, he's going the wrong way..so we turn right. Here's a map of the island,

Miki's house is on Eckenstam Johnson Rd. (Yoman road from the ferry dock) You can see where the Ferry dock is, which is Northish...well we turned right then left.. annnd... got lost. See all those curvy roads?  It wasn't quite dark yet, since moonrise was just after sunset but by the time we realized we couldn't find where he had gone, it was dark. Devon texts me and asks where we are, he was at the dock already. We ...were lost. On an island. We told him we had given up and had gone to the ferry dock because that was the direction he had headed. In the process, we saw a doe, which Miki pointed out to the dogs.. who went nuts. We decided to go home and going back up the road we pass.. a black car with Oregon plates. Devon. This is where we both just started laughing and remembered she had gps on her phone. It was really a lot of fun and we finally got to the boat dock on the other side of the island ahead of Devon who had turned around and followed us. There is no room to turn around on the roads as they are all two lane flanked by ditches and forest,
so he had to go all the way back to the ferry dock, see that we weren't there, texted us and then hauled back up the road to find us. We were laughing so hard, but I got pictures of the moon over Puget Sound. Wasn't sure at that point but it was beautiful when we got there.
So that was a great adventure, Devon said that when he showed Miki the map and she said she had been there, he assumed she knew how to get there. She's only been there once, and in daylight not knowing where she had gone. That didn't mean she could find her way there again, in the dark. We were all giggling. Lots of fun and Devon bless his heart, got to drive a spiff new car with music blaring on a two lane road in the middle of nowhere. His parting words to me before he took off was 'you might want to ride with her, I like to listen to music. My music, loud.'
So that was the Super Moon Adventure, we all got back home and settled in, I think we had some dessert but mostly I think we got on the computers and relaxed.
Yeah.. more fun to be had, this was only day 3.
