The weather and other things

The weather is off and on again rain. Beautiful cloud studded blue skies today but downright cold. It was 44 this morning and only rose about 20 degrees by the afternoon. Supposed to cloud over and rain in the wee hours of the morning tomorrow but now looking at it,  just going to be cloudy with little chance of rain. The wind has come up a bit which is a sure sign weather is shifting. Supposed to really rain sometime tomorrow (Thursday) with possible rain on Friday, then clear skies for the next few days. Yay! Friend and I have rescheduled our visit for first Saturday in December, weather and schedules permitting.

I had what I thought would be the last visit with Fossum (Radiation doctor) but he decided he wants to see me in a final final visit in May. He apologized about the skin issues I had and said I should have contacted them. I told him it was a toss up and went with Camberos for some odd reason. Showed him the pictures of my progress and he looked at where I was now so everything is healing up for the most part. By then I hope to be healed off from second surgery and on maintenance visits with oncologist and regular doctor.

I am now on 'maintenance' doses of Imodium from one of the more unpleasant side effects of the hormone inhibitor. Without being tmi, it took me a while to realize it was going on much longer than it should have so I contacted my oncologist office and they told me the regimen to use for the Imodium, keep up on lots of fluids/water and the BRAT diet.

So other than that, it's winterish weather, garden is getting soaked, seedlings aren't big enough to plant yet. Knitting is coming along, halfway through the one pair of socks for Devon, working on other two pairs as I try and work them all in turn. I do have three shawls that have been in bags that I would love to finish. The reason why I never pull them out is it would take at least an hour or two uninterrupted, just to figure out where I was and then working one row would be another half hour or forty minutes, uninterrupted.  Key word there. Interruption could be external or internal (mental 'boredom') so I think once I get Devon's socks done I'll pull out the 'easier' shawl to pick up and have that on stand by next to my desk.

Speaking of pulling things out. We are having another friend over for early turkey this Saturday. She is more allergic to cats and dust than Jon is. I looked at the corner where we have piled stuff and said that we need to get that sorted, cleared, cleaned and organized. What does he do? Focuses on cleaning the bathroom to the corners, then cleaning the doorways and floor in the front room. He shoved the couch a bit too hard and broke the grounding prong on his laptop charger plug. We have no money to get a new one but I told him to let me know what it is and how much or at least what it is so I can look it up. So... instead of tackling the corner of bags and boxes of reusable bags, collections of music cd's and other stuff and bags of yarn.... we have one more day to get that corner cleaned to give the room time to air out so dust isn't still settling on Saturday. In order to clear some of that stuff we have to pull stuff out of the cupboards in the bed room and organize that to make room for other stuff....

SIGH.

The weather is nice. The sun is shining....honestly of all the things to happen that's the least of our problems. Other than the charger cord.
