I feel like crap

I got meds for my cough but still feel like crap. Low back pain (which makes me worry about kidney issues but I'm drinking plenty of water), lethargy, weakness, sleeping for anywhere from 2 to 3 hours at a time around the clock.  I can barely type because my hands are shaking. I've not been able to eat anything solid for days. I had a small chicken leg from the store yesterday and tried to eat some toast last night but could only tolerate two bites.

Last night was bad. Woke up around 2 coughing and gagging, finally had to run to the bathroom and threw up a little in the sink, used the toilet and felt a little better.  Jon came and asked If I was okay and told him what happened, he asked where I threw up. Crawled back into bed and he stayed up as it was now about 3.  Passed out again but am having funky dreams.

I hope this isn't a long term thing because I will seriously have a talk with my doctor. I looked up side effects of my meds and for the three that I'm taking that are noticed:

Exemestane (hormone inhibitor)
  • Nausea and stomach pain (felt like someone punched me in the stomach a few days ago )
  • Insomnia (trouble sleeping)
  • Dizziness
  • Depression and anxiety (not that I've noticed)
  • Swelling of the hands, ankles, or feet (edema)
  • Increased appetite or weight gain (I may be hungry but can't eat much)
  • Hair loss or thinning (usually mild)
  • Cough or flu-like symptoms
  • Hot flashes and increased sweating
  • Fatigue or weakness
  • Joint, bone, or muscle pain (arthralgia, myalgia)
  • Headache
  •
    Kisqali (chemo pills)

  • Blood disorders: Low white blood cell counts (neutropenia/leukopenia), which increases the risk of infection; low red blood cell counts (anemia); and low platelet counts.
  • Gastrointestinal issues: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation.
  • General symptoms: Fatigue (tiredness), headache, back pain, and decreased appetite.
  • Other physical effects: Hair loss/thinning (alopecia), rash, cough, and trouble sleeping.
  • Infections: Including urinary tract infections and respiratory tract infections.

So double whammy there with the other med fatigue, back pain, decreased appetite, cough and trouble sleeping. I get labs done and ecg done every two weeks so they're monitoring that. Come to think of it, this cough started up about when I started both of these. The Pravastatin also has fatigue and tiredness, sleep disturbances (drowsiness, trouble sleeping) I take that a night so that's not an issue but does compound things.

I just managed to have about five spoonfuls of top ramen from a whole bowl it tasted okay but not the way I remember. Flavors are more intense or subdued, salt is too salty, sugar is too sweet, can't even think about a coke because I can taste all the flavors in it, I had two bites of toast and almost gagged last night. We have an entire container of spiral ham slices in the fridge that Jon is not eating and neither am I. Need to find someone to take it off our hands that will appreciate it. Oh and I haven't had the energy to brush my teeth in four days.

So I've been awake from my last nap for about two hours and am ready to lay back down again.  The one pill I''m taking for the cough seems to be working. I haven't opened the inhaler because I don't feel it's necessary. The pills weren't covered by insurance so they were $15.99 but if they're doing the job I''ll pay for them.

I'm going to go lay down now. I'm typing on my laptop on the bed. Sitting at my desk is too much effort.
