It's sunny today! Yay!

I am okay for rent this month, thank you. Car is working other than a tire needing air and getting a tune up. Work is okay though my energy is getting progressively shorter duration. Going grocery shopping for some longer term food staples tonight, lunch and dinner is easy, breakfast that doesn't involve a lot of cooking... not so easy.
I just realized that Devon is turning 21 this month.
Holy Crap! Where did 'little dude' go? Taller than me, skinny like his uncles at that age..he looks so much like Bart it's kind of spooky. Just like Ava looks like Amber at her age.
He said he wants some camping gear for a trip he and his friends are planning as well as an electric shaver. I'll be looking into a gift card to Walmart for him, not much but money goes further there for camping stuff than Big 5 or REI. Have to get details out of him, likely needs are a sleeping bag and maybe a backpack and some other stuff. He put word out on Facebook but that's like throwing a fishing line into Lake Tahoe with nothing on the hook.
Wow... He's still looking for a job and almost done with his public service duties. Amber and the kids are doing good. I was feeling rather crappy on Friday and couldn't go sit with them, despite Amber saying she thinks she has an ear infection.  Feeling better today, but have other things going on, we'll see how I feel on Friday. I think food is the key. I haven't been able to get the amount of food that I really want due to money issues. Although I did get a 9" sub yesterday and had half for lunch and the other half for dinner.
No that my appetite is off, my mouth constantly tastes like something died in it. It's called 'chemo mouth' and it sucks, but I know how to get around that... find something to eat. Chips, snacks, salad... anything. Meat. I just bought a small container of sliced liver which will be served up fried with mushrooms, onions and garlic.  yummm! That's the plan at least. Just realized that we don't have a fresh onion to slice up..darn. When I went to the store last night the only single onions they had were huge monster ones..the small ones were in bags. Dangit..have to go to a cheap market.
My typing is getting kind of off too, have to slow down and not try to type so fast. Not getting any neuropathy yet that I can tell, just unsteady fingers. Still knitting, the weather is warming up and I'm working on a cabled hat in blue, green and white. Beautiful hat but by the time I finish it, it's going to be too warm. Going to start looking into pieces of fabric for bandanas instead. I might send the hat to one of the grandboys since it's small enough to fit me it should be fine for one of them.
I really do have a tiny head, I measured and it's about 20 inches but if I make a hat that size it's too big. Have to make it two inches smaller for a snug fit.
Okay going to go scrounge for breakfast..my usual routine is to leave early enough to hit the 7-11 near work and get a cherry jello/fruit cup and a carrot cake. I'll bring half a banana with me too, been getting calf cramps the last few days. Oh and soup, Progresso hearty Vegetable soup is great. Has a meaty broth and lots of good stuff to build up my iron and stuff.
Alright... on to the quote for today...

"Old age is the most unexpected thing that can happen to a man." - Leon Trotsky

Another gem from a comrade...old age creeps up on us at any time... suddenly it's there staring at you from around the corner of middle age.
