It was windy and partly cloudy yesterday and around 4:30 a huge black cloud was advancing on the land from the ocean. As I was pulling out of the parking lot at work, it started to drizzle. In the ten miles between work and home..it rained and poured, by the time I parked at home...it really came down and then... hail! Oh and the temperature was 49! The hail was only the size of rice but still... I sat in my car for about five or ten minutes waiting for the deluge to subside and then ran for cover.
Big rainbow also since it was 'partly cloudy' Katie got pictures.
I have been having annoying calf cramps lately. I bought two bananas (which I am eating a half at a time), I suspect I need more potatoes and some other high potassium foods, like...potatoes???. For dinner last night I sauteed mushrooms and sliced shallot, then fried up another piece of liver and threw some more shallots on top of that. Yummm! Cup of milk, and a blueberry muffin and dinner was good! Oh, if you're worrying about greens, I had a salad for lunch.
For breakfast I'm going to fry an egg, make some toast and heat up some pre-cooked bacon... fried egg sandwich yay! With bacon! I have lettuce and tomatoes too so I might even crumble some of that onto a salad with ranch dressing for lunch.
I think I'm hungry if all I'm talking about is food this morning!
So anyway, not much else going on... going to go over to Amber's to watch the kids tonight as long as work isn't too hectic.
I'm looking into digging out some of my fabric stash and finding someone to make me bandanas or head scarves. Not long things, but something I can wear over a ball cap at work or just by itself when it starts warming up. When the weather starts getting into the 70's consistently, it's going to look odd (not to mention hot) wearing a wool or acrylic hat. I have a sewing machine..but actually sitting down and cutting out the fabric and sewing... I'm just not into that anymore unless I have hours of time. Which I might have next month.
Don't know how my reaction to the next round is going to be so I'm sort of planning on taking it easy the latter part of this month and May. In other words, 'voluntary' disability. It's not exactly voluntary if I don't feel up to working all day. But at the current rate, I would have more money from that than my paycheck.
For anyone that's been looking for me online, sorry I've been kind of a ghost. Been spending more time on Second Life and forget to open up ichat or yahoo chat.
Tomorrow is my roommate Katie's birthday... I don't have any money to get her something so it looks like it'll be earrings of her choice or belated present. She understands, we need to catch up on bills first.
Okay need to go get breakfast then try to get money in the bank and get gas.
