You'll notice a new look for the page. As pretty as pink is, it's never really been one of my colors. I thought it would be nice for a change, but I think it clashes with .... believe it or not... aura.
Don't laugh or scoff, this is something I was into in high school and college and it actually makes a lot of sense.
I've always like blues and greens, a little purple and some brown thrown in there with some pink occasionally. It turns out that when the craze for 'doing your colors' was happening in the early 80's, I did my season colors and I'm a Summer, which turns out has all the same colors I liked. White and black are out except as an accent and all the other colors fit into my preferences perfectly. Very weird.
But anyway, I can tolerate pink in small doses but in the last few days, the pink tulips have started to get me on edge so I changed it to my more 'native' blue scheme.
The background image is from one of my favorite digital art sites, Digital Blasphemy. I used to have a paid membership but when it came up for renewal I decided to let it drop. There is a free gallery though and this one is called 'Sky Song'... absolutely gorgeous. I have a few others that I use for my desktop, check out 'Elevado' both the day and night versions, too beautiful! this guy is really talented!
Anyway....
It was coolld and wet and rainy at work today... absolutely miserable weather. We (whoever was left after lunches) were walking around inside the building, staying away from doorways where the howling wind was blowing through, and trying not to go outside as much as possible. That was difficult as the manage said 'find something to do or you go home.' So at the end of the day there was a total of five of us brave, slightly richer souls. Actually, there was four, three of us for customer service (not including the manager) and the one, lone cashier.
One gentleman came in and said that he came down specifically because it was raining because he new it wouldn't be busy. Daft!
So now, I'm finishing up my day, going to shut this down and head off to bead. Ava is asleep on the couch, Devon and Amber are playing Magic (the addiction as some people say) in Devon's room... going to tell them to keep it down and head off to bed.
Got some more ideas for networking the travel plans... will start putting out questions to different groups and see what happens.
G'night.
