Thought for the week

"Be a hero in your heart every day and villainy will never overcome you."

Just thought of that after my chat on heroes and villains. Rather sappy but true for the most part.
It was raining for the first part of the day today at work, I wore my sweater, a jacket and my scarf and a hat to keep warm without my hair covering my neck. It finally warmed up later in the afternoon and I actually was without any of that (except my hat to shade my eyes) for about an hour or two. Then the sun was going down and the wind came up and on went the sweater and scarf.
We had no water at all to the nursery..none..the city was working on the pipes for whatever reason so we had bottled water, no coffee, and privies out in the driveway end of the parking lot. I haven't used one of those port-a-potties in ages. (Shows you how much I get out!). they were clean at least. But now I wonder if they got the work done today since it was raining a bit.. I don't think that would prevent them from working on the project...but who knows.
It'll just suck if there's no water tomorrow too.

Well everyone is home tonight... Dan is going to be down here for two weeks, until April 4... kind of putting a stress on things, but it's good for Amber and Ava. They were both missing him a lot so it's good mentally. He'll be collecting unemployment retroactively from January soon so that will be a bit of a relief.
Other than that, it's Spring!
Flowers are blooming, first spring shower, my little plot at the nursery is just overflowing with flowers and leaves and everything. It's good to see everything coming to life in a matter of a week or two.
I never got a chance to go do more writing the other night, I got too tired.
Oh, Ava (in the way of 4 year olds) somehow, for some reason, stuck the tip of her chubby little Crayola marker up her nose! And..yep, the tip broke off. She came over to me and there was blue smears all over her face and she was whining about it being stuck up there.
Lordy!
She was trying to dig it out with a q-tip and it wasn't working. I took her into the bathroom and had her blow her nose a few times but it didn't come out until she half whimpered and it flew right into my hand. It was a piece smaller than a pencil eraser but to a 4 year old it was huge. I cleaned her up and we've told her three or four times not to do that again which she tells us, 'You already told me that three times!'
It's something that bears repeating.
Oh, I did do some writing but offline. I rewrote some of Buran's story... bad girl..not supposed to change stuff that's already up...but hey, that's what writers do.
I guess I'll just have to write offline and then post it when I'm satisfied.

I bought four boxes of Girl Scout cookes the other day, the obligatory two boxes of Thin Mints, a box of Tagalongs (peanut butter thingies) and Samoas which are coconut things... I call them Cookie crack because you keep eating them and get sick on them.
Okay, Dan is requesting a pair of socks now.....have to go look at some yarn with elastic in it. See if there's something in the color that he likes.

Have a good week everyone!
