The other Carma shoe dropped

and was picked up. Yes, I spelled that the way I wanted.
Explanation:
I've had a feeling the last few weeks that something was going to go wrong with the car. One of those back-of-the-mind things that you can't do anything about because you don't know what's going to happen. Usually when I feel I've been particularly ill thoughtful of someone else, it doesn't usually bite me, it goes to my car. Hence, Carma.
Amber called me at work and said that the brakes were screeching. Great. I knew we needed brakes, that's what was in the back of my mind. She has changed brakes before with Dan so she said she knew how to do it, just had to get the pads.
Well, she picked me up from work and said that the brakes were done. Whoa! Umm... she and Dan bought the brake pads, bled the lines, filled the brake fluid and changed out the brakes on their own!
It would have cost me about $200 to have some shop do it. Didn't cost me a dime! Now we have to get the radiator/oil thing figured out. There's no cheap way of getting around that. Hopefully we can keep it going for a while longer. I can't look forward to my tax money because there isn't any coming.
I'm going back down to the yarn shop hopefully today (doing laundry right now and that takes about an hour) before I go to work. Need to drop off my cards there and see if any of my pieces have sold. I haven't sold any online, but we'll see what happens in the retail world.
Oh, speaking of that. I still have the medallion necklace that I created out of two different things. Some of you remember it's the Celtic knot and the crystal. I've been searching all over the net for more medallions like this one but haven't seen anything like it. If any of you find a vendor at a fair or somewhere that are selling them...can you find out who their supplier is? I originally got it from the San Bernadino Ren Faire so I have no clue who the vendor was.
The shield part is curved (concha style?) about a half inch across and the bail (loop) is on the back not the top like most medallions. This is critical because of the curve, it gives room for the crystal to hang without adding any bulk.
Everyone that has seen my necklace have been impressed and think it's very unique. That's the name of the game, I want to make more. Finding crystals like this one isn't as hard, just more expensive.
Okay, have to get more change for the laundry and go put it in the dryer.
Have a good one everybody!
