Was offline for a while

Once again, cable was shut off but now is back online.
I still haven't gotten down to the office, nor found the form to fill out on the lease. Since the cable was down, I wasn't able to re-send my tax forms... nor print them so that's a week late. Good news: Dan's here on a surprise visit. Totally surprised as a matter of fact.
He was on the phone with Amber all day Wednesday and Thursday (not all day mind you, but off and on) about having a friend pay his way down here again. He was even telling Amber on the phone Thursday that he was on his way to Utah with a band to play a gig then he was thinking of just continuing on to New York. She was relatively unruffled, but I was thinking...that's outrageous!
Well, all the time he was calling her on Thursday he was actually driving down here and stuck in L.A. traffic around 5. I kind of got suspicious because he kept checking to see where she was and when she was getting home. Just like last time.
When Amber came back after getting some food she handed her phone to Ava to talk to him and they disappeared around the corner to the kitchen window, suddenly Ava is jumping up and down and screaming (imagine the loudest a child can screech) that 'Daddy's here, daddy's here!!!!!' It was a prime tv moment to capture and I didn't have my camera out, not knowing he was showing up. Dan and Amber also appear to be on better terms and acting like a relatively happy young couple again.
Bad news: Dan was borrowing the garage lock key that is attached to Devon's wallet... and left it on the top of his car... on his way to go see Amber for lunch. Devon's wallet is gone with his ATM card, Id, SS card, house and mail key and the extra key for the garage lock. Luckily it's not like he left it out on a table somewhere, but it also has his credit card in it. He has to start the whole process on Monday to get replacements. He also said that both his account numbers were written on the back of a business card, so if he feels that's a breech of security, he has to get a new account as well.
This is the second time that Dan has screwed Devon's life over. The first was the fiasco with painting his nails while he was asleep and then Devon forgot to leave his Leatherman tool at home and was caught with it at school.

So anyway... we'll see what happens next.
