Brilliant deduction from Dan

Dan is my son in law... he got his unemployment check and was able to pay Devon some money for watching Ava and I was told he figured if we pool his check and Ambers and my money we could pay the rent.
DUH!
He doesn't get much in unemployment, but how thoughtful. der! He doesn't understand why we're having to move if we can come up with the money. I haven't had the heart to be totally blunt. Besides, he was out last night and I had to go to bed.
I told him when he did come home that the rent is 1175, and then there's the 75 garage rental and now a $75 late fee on top of that. I'm going to ask for the $150 so I can only ask for the rent money from payroll at work. That will give us some breathing space at least.
Oh, and I did talk to the office and she actually said that last month they sent out 15 three day notices like ours and this month there are 30. So she's understanding about the whole situation, that many notices in a 100 + unit complex is disturbing.
I'll have more news tonight after work about the money, I don't see an issue, but who knows what's happened the last few days I've been off.
Which reminds me, I totally forgot about a benefits meeting at 7 am yesterday morning. DOH! I even remembered Wednesday night and with everything that's happening, I just totally forgot.

Devon and I did some laundry, hopefully I can get Dan and Devon to clean and box up some stuff around here. Devon's being really good about it and cleaned out his closet and is taking care of his stuff in his room.
Oh, also found a source for trading in my computer for a macbook. The difference would only be around $300 and, if they can take payments, I can totally manage that if I don't have rent coming out.
Oh, and I downloaded the pdf of my spending report from the bank, which I'm going to make available somehow so you can all see just where my money is going and how much is coming in.
90% of my spending is on rent. The other approximate %10 is food either from groceries or restaurants. Pretty much that's it. Oh yeah, and utilities which aren't represented accurately but it's in there.
You'll notice the bottom line for Credit Card spending is 0. I have none that I can use. The last time I used a credit card was to buy food.
0 for Entertainment, all those little categories that most people can cut out... it's already zero folks.
The most I spent in one month for groceries was in January for about $200. It has the category for Rent/Mortgage but my payments don't fall into that because most of it has been cash withdrawals or checks written and didn't get categorized that way.
I've been looking at it and even my retail spending was minimal.
I'm only bringing in around $1800 and, not including payments I should be making, I would have only $500 to spend for the entire month. Can anyone else live on that much a month? That 500 has to include gas and food (just for me and Devon guys) and 'entertainment'. I can go through about $150 worth of groceries in a week, gas as everyone knows is sky high so I don't do much driving but it costs about $50 a tank about every week and a half.
You do the math and let me know where I can cut spending. Since I've cut everywhere else, the rent is going. That's the only big ticket item left in my budget.
(Have to say that eating out costs more I agree, but when you don't have enough to buy groceries... six dollars a day for a meal isn't that bad)
Okay, have to get going to work. More news as I get it.

Thanks for your support. (hehehe)
