This is it. (Update at end)

We're packing up, we got the three day notice on the door so I'll be double checking with the office and give them some money and ask for an extension to Sunday.
Everyone is still asleep right now but I told Amber last night that when this happens, we still have our cell phones. I had to let Ava know last night why grandma was a little cranky. I told her that grandma was in trouble for not paying the rent and we're going to have to move out this weekend. She said she was going to miss me when they went back to Truckee, I told her that wouldn't happen for a while. (judging from Amber and Dan maybe not for a lonnng time.)
They have friends to stay with and not much in the way of baggage. Luckily there isn't much to pack out again, so it'll be fast in that respect, but have to rent a trailer or storage to get the rest of our junk out of the garage. I have to wait until tomorrow to ask my manager who lives here too if she has a garage and if not, can she rent another so I can use it. cheapest storage in town at $75 for a 10x20 garage.
With summer coming, the weather is nice enough I can sleep in my car and use the Campland by the Bay.
I won't have enough money to pony together for at least a month or two. Maybe longer given how much I owe.
Here's the bright side:
No cable or utilities, no car payment (that was already happening), no water/trash, and most of all, no rent to drain my paycheck! I'll be able to save a lot more now and put away more toward a new place maybe by July.
Hey... this could mean I can actually go on vacation... wow. Maybe this is an early Walkabout then. What a concept, take advantage of the situation and make the best of it.

As a recap, I need around $1500 to pay off the rent right now, I get my paycheck next Friday which I have already dipped into, and the next paycheck is two weeks after that, so if the apartment people are willing to do that, by June I won't have rent to pay for next month other than storage. Get my car smogged and re-registered, tuned up and ready to roll. And sometime next month, I'll invest in one of those netbooks so I can have some computer access.
Okay, need to get going, have to find some boxes, get Amber to work and then get Devon and Dan up and get moving. heehe.

Update:
The three day notice is not for $1427. Apparently they hadn't included the 700 I had dropped off a few days ago. So last months balance is only $66. 83 and only rent and late fees for this month are due. ($1175+ 75 garage and then water and trash.)
So maybe this can be negotiated, going to see if I can get a paycheck loan from work to pay off on a paycheck to paycheck deduction.
I'm going down to the office, actually down to the check cashing place and then to the office. This doesn't change my plans, just gives us some breathing space to pack and get out.
