but should be completely recovered and contagion free by Christmas. Right now I'm in the last throws of near pneumonia. Lungs got congested and I lost a day of work but I made sure to rest and got some Tussin cough medicine that loosened the gunk rather than suppressing it. Since I've had pneumonia at least once before, anything that settles in my chest is dangerous. I didn't run a fever and I think the worst of it is gone, I just have no voice now from coughing.
Still no prospects for a place of my own since I'm still broke. I had a whopping paycheck but had borrowed almost $300 to take care of gas, misc things like food and the plumber where I'm staying. So hopefully the next paycheck will be decent despite having two half days.
Car is still not completely recovered, need a new water pump, new front brakes and new tires. The water pump may cost me nothing from the guys that did the repairs from the accident despite him verifying that it wasn't damage caused by the accident.
Going to have to get him a gift card to the nursery or something.
Other than that, just checking in and hoping that this year everyone gets something they want or need. For me... car care, yarn, beads, Starbucks, meal cards, I discovered the local Kohl's store has great clothes for reasonable prices!... but if Santa dropped something like a new laptop under the tree for me I wouldn't mind not getting anything else. But whatever comes, I'll be thankful for what I have. I've survived on less before, this is no different.
I'm getting further on my story despite editing it from almost 40k words to just under half that. If it means a tighter story and a better story that's the idea.
Time for breakfast and a shot of cough medicine.
Expect me when you see me, Christmas Eve or whenever.
