Yep... we finally got real rain, flooding in the streets, mass hysteria, millions of people wondering what all this wet stuff is coming out of the sky.
See, even my sense of humor is improving!
I may well be back on the road again tonight yippeeeee! Had to walk Ava to school in the rain, she was decked out in her 'Tahoe Snow Jacket' and in her words, 'I feel puffy!'. I didn't think to bring my boots from work or my bush hat with the wide brim. Didn't think the rain would be here this early. At least I got my leather jacket out of storage last week when it started to get cold. Whew! So new tennies are wet with some dampness touching my woolie socks. Good thing about those socks though! Merino wool ski socks with arch support and extra thick. Good stuff! I think I got them at Costco, cheapest I've ever gotten out of there other than dropping off film years ago.
So, other than that, I'm sitting in the cafe waiting until I have to catch the bus to work. They called and told me not to come in until noon. I would do journal catch up except I left it at home..again. Since I have to take the bus, I try to carry as little weight as possible.
So with luck, I'll have my car by the end of the work day, I'm hoping they can just drop it off at work, they're not far from the nursery so I can just let them know that I get off at 5 but have no vehicle until after that (they close at 5 too sooo...)
Oh, on that note, at least the radiator and air conditioner will be fixed. And the heater works so the only thing I need is brakes and front tires. And windshield wipers. Gee... the three things that you usually MUST have at top form in the rain. dangit. Don't get paid until Friday. ah well.
That's all for now folks!
Expect me when you see me.
