Yesterday was frustrating...grrr.

But it was interesting too.
First a little backstory. At the nursery we have a pond section, five rectangular ponds above ground. All hand built with wood and liners. Anyway, they are all lined up and the end two on each side are connected by a recirculating filter system through a barrel. (I'll have to take some pictures sometime.)
Okay... in pond 1 I discovered crawdads! Lots of them. We didn't put them there and I only noticed because they were munching on the water hyacinths and water lettuce! All day Saturday I was fishing them out and putting them in pond 5 where there is a screen enclosure we had tadpoles in at one time. Over the course of a few hours I had caught about 30. One died in transit (getting caught on the edge of the net I think it dislocated his head), and two I gave away to some customers. So there were twenty seven in that enclosure.
Before we left on Saturday I checked on them and realized there was a hole and some of them had escaped. By Tuesday they had all escaped into pond 5! Well one of the managers found out and wanted them out of there despite him not minding them being there. Someone may have snitched and that was it.
Anywhoo. We spent a couple of hours pulling up the support grate and draining it, but lo and behold, we fished out 27. All done and they are gone now, but it was fun doing that.
So, on Tuesday we were really slow so I was told not to punch in from lunch. Okay... unexpected but I had some things to take care of before going back and picking up my friend Kathleen.
Here's where it gets interesting.
I needed to pick up my paycheck from the fabric store after 3 so I went home, toodled around on the computer, designed a pair of earrings and around 4 I left to go get the check, and the plan was, pick up check, put it in bank, get money, gas and head back to work.
First snag: The checks weren't there yet. They usually arrive by UPS. Crap. I had an inclination to just hang around a few minutes then left. What was outside? Our UPS driver with several boxes including the (now familiar) paycheck box. Woohoo! Alrighty, went back inside, idled around, heard my manager ask if I was still there, I said yes and headed to the office to pick up my check.
Step one checked off.
Go to bank (at this point I am running on empty.. I really need gas but wanted to go to Costco where it was cheaper).
I pull up to the ATM and ... it's not accepting deposits. I am now hungry and nervous because I am running out of time to get gas. I drive off to go inside and deposit the check and realize.... where's my card! There is no close parking and by the time I find a place to park, search the front and back area to see if it fell somewhere... someone else has gone through the atm.
CRAAAAP! I now go inside and of course, it's busy. Stand in line, working on a low sugar shake and get to the teller and explain the situation. (It is now 4:35 and I have to be in Pt. Loma by 5 which is 15 minutes away). Teller says she has to get a manager...five minutes later she asks me to sit in the lobby while they get to the atm. Five minutes later, still no one has come out. Finally a random bank worker lady comes over (due to four other people cooling their heels) and asks if anyone needs help.
Someone looks at me and I jump up and re-explain the situation. She leads me over to her desk and says deposits are easy, then I say I need cash back... oh. And by the way, they were looking for my card too. Ohkay.... it is now 5 and I'm really getting upset. My phone is out of minutes I don't have enough money in the bank to take care of it and I'm sure Kathleen has tried to call me.
FINALLY the lady calls my name and has my card, 'It was in the back.' GREAAAT. She puts me at the front of the long line explaining I had been waiting for over a half hour...well now that I have my card I could use the atm..but if the drive throughs were down all of them were. So, get to the teller, do cashback and I'm on my way. I have 212. and change deposited. YAY! I proceed to Kathleen's house, announcing that I need to indulge in some carnivorous activity and we scoot out for some relaxation. I got gas, we got food and Starbucks and relaxed.
Okay...in my rush I forgot those funds weren't immediately available. So now I'm -$49 in the bank until tomorrow. Luckily I have gas and money in my pocket. I can pay storage on Friday, tranfer money to paypal and generally take care of business then.

Aand... tomorrow is biopsy day, (thank you for the ride!) That's not until later but it's nerve wracking anyway. Today is shower, dishes, check the mail and work. Tomorrow I do laundry.
Oh, and it rained today! Scuse me but WTF! It's JULY! The east coast is getting slammed with summer weather and we're in 'Sunny So Cal' and if feels like freaking January!

Okay, feels like I need to get something to eat and get a shower before heading out today.
Oh, and I need to go to the UPS center and try to retrieve a package that they've tried to deliver twice. They tried to leave it with the manager but they weren't home either yesterday!
:::SIGH:::

Hoping today is more relaxed than yesterday and less stressful than tomorrow!
