Counting down...

The days are counting down now... it's not like being pregnant where at the end, you're relieved, uncomfortable, but you have this little reward for all your discomfort. At my end date... I'll be severely uncomfortable for a long period of time. Although my figure will be different as in pregnancy. But I'm not young and vain anymore (not that I was vain to start with...such a useless thing).
Went shopping last night to see what I could find. Got two sports bras (for $10..thank you Walmart!) and a pair of 'capri' pajama bottoms. At least that's what they look like where they were hanging. Turquoise and blue plaid cheap flannel or at least soft cotton was a better choice than Betty Boop, Mickie or Minnie Mouse or Captain Morgan. Obviously I wasn't looking in the 'mature' women's department.
I hate the current style of pants that have it hang at your hips!  We wouldn't have a waist if we weren't meant to wear pants there!
My problem is I'm a 16/18 on the bottom and a 14 on top. I was going to buy a complete pajama set but it looks so huge!  Might get one anyway and then wash the heck out of it to shrink it some.
I couldn't find a pair of shoes that I liked either. Being a women's 11 almost 12 kind of rules out mule type shoes that are affordable. I'll keep looking though. I'm sure they're out there somewhere.

I get to see Avatar again tonight with Devon, two of my knitting friends and hopefully a coworker! It's going to be great! I asked Amber if she wanted to go, but she is not up to staying out that late now. It's a shame because she's the only one of the family that hasn't seen it on the big screen. It does make a difference!

I'm creating a checklist in my head (and soon on paper-speaking of paper dangit I forgot to buy printer ink!!) for things I need to take with me to the hospital. Amber has an appointment in the same area as the hospital two hours after I check in, so I'm going to go pick her up and then check in for my surgery, that way she gets my car and gets to be there for me and be on paper for the responsible contact.
They're having me check in two hours ahead of time before surgery. I'm not used to this kind of thing. Obviously that two hours is for prep and pre-op and getting my room assigned, filling out papers. Not necessarily in that order.

Okay, have to stop being anxious about this and get ready for work... make it through 8 hours of idiot encounters, smelling the flowers and generally being useful.
Oh, and in a week I have to become at least a passable expert in bugs and pesticides to teach the class at the nursery next Saturday.
Talk about a crash course!
