Just as I suspected....

In the last week at least three people have asked me when my surgery was and I told them I didn't know I was waiting for them to call me and that it would likely be mid-October, then a little voice in the back of my head would say, 'not October, early November....'
Well the surgeons office called finally yesterday and it's scheduled for November 8th with pre op on Nov 4. Scary how I knew that. But not really surprising with my latent psychic mind.
So here we go again, it's another month and a little bit to wait and hoping nothing else happens in all that time to delay it AGAIN. I had a bad gall bladder attack the other night and now have to be really, really careful not to aggravate that again that might put me in another situation that would compromise the surgery.
Oh, I downloaded Skype for my computer so I can chat with people easier. It's free and I bought a headset so that someday I can start doing podcasts or doing voice l entries on blogs. Going to test it out on Audacity and see what my voice sounds like and if I want the rest of the world to hear it. ;)
I also broke down and bought an 8GB iPod touch. Not the latest version, though it was tempting just a basic model so I can have music in the car and be able to make notes on the run as well as keep all my contacts and appointments with me. Someone at work saw I had it and and asked if I liked it.
They don't know me too well do they? I gave them a big grin and nodded vigorously as I was listening to some music. This one is MINE!  The last ipod was hijacked by my kids so I had to share it, but this one is all mine.
So anyway...other than that, playing around on Second Life, working on some jewelry designs, getting ready for Halloween now that I have my surgery date...

It's looking like it might even rain today!  There are big puffy clouds with dark grey underbellies hanging over the coast this morning. It rained east of here day before yesterday so a thunderstorm might not be unexpected.

Okay, just wanted to pass the news along, updates as they happen will be posted...as usual and now for the quote:

"Regret for things we did can be tempered by time; it is regret for things we did not do that is inconsolable."  - Sidney J. Harris

(I'll be starting to link the author name for anyone that is curious about them)
