I got two calls on Thursday from the anesthesia nurse and the admissions nurse to give them all my pertinent information. I was supposed to have blood work done after the doctor's visit but they'll be doing that when I get to the hospital. I have to check in at 8 in the morning first to take care of paperwork and the copay ($300 but that's not a problem thankfully). Then walk me over to the Outpatient Pavilion (OPP) for the injection and bloodwork, then from there back over to the surgery center and the pre-anesthesia prep and .... then it should be about time for the doctor to come see me before surgery.
Once again the nurse was surprised at how many 'no' answers I had for their forms. Smoke? No
History of diabetes? No
Heart problems? No
Allergies to latex or tape? No
Medications? No
Basically it's the same questions that are on the papers I was sent home with that day.
Which... I wrote on last night... while talking to Talib. We were having video chat issues which was hilarious, holding up pieces of paper with notes on them to the cameras...lol!I can't wear any perfume or deodorant or make up..no problem. No jewelry or personal items... I can do without wearing jewelry for a few days. No biggie. (I do have to remember to do laundry on Sunday... no clean underthings or pants.) Remember the old adage, wear clean underwear and socks every day you never know when you'll end up in the hospital.
My silver bouncy ball is sitting in front of me on my desk, it had been sitting behind my monitor and I decided to put it out front again to remind me of bouncing back.

When I open up Firefox I have my homepage set for igoogle so there's different windows that have stuff that I want to know about. Email, weather, calendar, and the quotes. This is where most of my quotes have been coming from on this blog. It changes every day and they're random. The thing about randomness, is it never fails to put something in front of you that you really need at the moment.
Douglas Adams, writer of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is the first one on the list this morning and...it's one of my new favorite quotes.
