Step two completed to becoming human!

I got my hair washed this morning, thanks to my awesome roomie! I remembered we have a spray hose on the kitchen sink! Woohoo! With much shorter hair this is not a problem doing it in the sink.
So, bandages changed, hair washed, will do a sponge bath later on and I am ready to take on the world! At a snail's pace. Right now.
Spent a good deal of time online yesterday putzing around on Second Life, I plan on doing some laundry with Devon today and actually try to get some writing done.
Writing is a fickle thing as some people may know. For me, it really is dictated by my mood, physical state and inspiration. I use music for inspiration, the other two parts... that will have to be surmounted in order to get back into the mind set of my characters. A good writer should not have a problem with that if the characters are well defined. I would like to think that mine are, but there are moments where the story flounders and I have to take a step back and look at the situation. If I haven't focused on the characters sufficiently, the plot flounders or if I have focused on other details of the characters, taking the focus off the direction they should go, it all kind of falls apart.
(Look at me!  I'm talking about something other than my current state! I also have my sense of humor back...)
So... also am getting back to designing jewelry, working on the table set up I'll have at the convention in February. For those that I didn't mention this, there is a local sci fi convention called ConDor that I am now associating with for selling some of my jewelry. It has a reasonable contingent of Steampunk people so I have to 'gear' hehehe my jewelry choices to that crowd if I want to sell anything. Though, being a sci if and fantasy crowd, anything with dragons, faeries, castles, or things to do with movies or Harry Potter will get their attention. I am not a Harry Potter fan so am not inspired to do anything for that. Dragons are definitely in my repertoire (whoa I spelled that right the first time!) though my source for inexpensive dragons has dried up sadly.  It's also about presentation on your table too. Katie has an idea to create a steampunked mirror frame which I suspect may have people wanting to buy it. This is okay as I'm going to try and convince her to come to the con as well.
Anywho... feeling good today as I should be, and will be better tomorrow than today etc.

One of my favorite quotes from George Burns for today, and I know that several of you have thought of this as well:

"You know you're getting old when you stoop to tie your shoelaces and wonder what else you could do while you're down there."
  - George Burns

The other end of that is, you choose shoes that don't have laces so you don't have to bend over.
