Despite my talk of writing yesterday, I actually worked more on a necklace idea. Then this morning got the spark for another version of it. The first version is called either 'Fall Fairy Queen' or 'Late Summer Days' and will be a choker length style. It's about halfway done for the stringing and then I need to finagle the clasp on it.
This one is made with glass, pressed glass leaves and jasper beads. At the stage of the second photo the last point is the center. The second version is going to be called 'Peacock Dreams' and of course feature my favorite peacock color beads. From what I pulled it's going to be gorgeous! This kind of design takes a lot more time to string, I started it yesterday afternoon while the boys were here (Devon and his friend) and worked on it for about two hours. Okay, maybe more.
Meanwhile back at the ranch...
I didn't get much nap time yesterday so when it rolled around to 9 or 10 I was definitely ready for sleep. Took one vicodin (not necessarily for the pain but to help me relax. I don't sleep well on my back) and 45 minutes later was in sleepy land. Woke up briefly around 3:30, rolled slightly over and went back to sleep. Woke up at 7:45, did my morning routine and was ready to roll for another day.
Katie's out today for a work training class until about 1:30 and then when she comes home we'll work on laundry.
I just realized I've lost track of the two little baby bracelets for the twins. I think I gave them to Amber for her to keep, but am thinking of making two more just in case.
Her shower is tomorrow, last minute decision on her part so I have one and a half sweaters, one pair of socks, a third of a blanket and I think one hat done. That's the problem with starting projects too early for me, they get done and... can't find them when I need them.
So, this is a long post compared to previous ones, that's because I prattled on about my jewelry for the most of it. This is good, getting the brain working again on things other than work, survival and pain.
Off to the work bench again.
