My car is fine, amazingly enough....
The ifrst one is taken standing next to the tire of the truck that got hit. This is the next morning after they moved it from the sidewalk back onto the street. The second one.. yes, that is about two feet max between my bumper and the tire track. I have no idea what kind of car it was, but obviously it wasn't very big. Given typical distances between a tire and a fender, he literally missed my car by inches. I'm saying 'he' just for convenience, have no clue who they were. The morning after when I took these photos the guy who owned the truck was getting his stuff out before it was towed to the body shop. I should have asked him if he knew any details.
Just amazing. I told him I was sorry for him and he said 'no worries'. Oh yeah... he's got more worries than I do.
Oh, I guess this all works out with my theory from last year. 'I'm paying off karma at a highly accelerated rate.' Well I guess this is the first incident that may be proving that true.
Now for something completely different. Some of you who have known me for a long time know that I don't normally play video games. The closest I get is puzzle games online or solitaire. Well I bit the bullet, paid .99 and downloaded the iphone version of the Avatar game. It's a typical obstacle course with a story behind it, and every time I get stuck on a level I remember why I don't like these kinds of games. But because it is a storyline that I am particularly interested in, it's keeping me plugging along. Having to recharge my ipod every night due to playing it for about an hour or more every day.
In any case, getting geared up for selling my stuff at the con in a month. Katie and I are going to coordinate on table arrangement and display. I got a call from the guy in charge of the dealers room and he said we might be one of two people that get a bigger table! That would be awesome, even if it's an 8 ft instead of 6 it would be enough.
Other than that, pretty much hanging in there, waiting for the other shoe to drop when I see the oncologist in three weeks, and will be seeing the GB surgeon this Friday. Came close to having an attack the other day, but averted it and am trying to be much better about my food choices. ::sigh::
Well off i go, have to hit the grocery store and the bank, then to work. Another fun filled day in Sunny San Diego!
And on that note:

I've seen that quote on bumper stickers and t-shirts many times. This is dedicated to my roommate who actually has one of those shirts.
