One day down....

Was able to be at work today for about six hours before I decided it was enough. (And it was slow enough that I could go.)
It felt good to be back answering questions, helping people... luckily didn't get too many of the typical customers I remember that taxed my tolerance before. Just wish I could have done more, there was so much work that I usually would pitch in and help but I shouldn't lift anything more than 20 lbs on my right side, can't bend over to the ground, can't reach over my head...  I can still answer questions and identify plants though. The brain isn't impaired thank goodness. At least for now.  hehee.
I have a consultation appointment with the surgeon on Tuesday to talk about the gall bladder. I'll have more information after that which may include a possible date for the surgery. So here I am, getting back into the work groove and have to take another few days off for another surgery!
At least I'll be able to see the new grandbabies before that! Amber is now scheduled, at the latest, for Thursday 1/13/11 at 10:30 am.  That is if she's not feeling like she's getting worse and needs to go into triage before that. Ohh say like on Tuesday the 11th... It would totally be freaky for the first one to be born on 1/11/11 at 1:11 and he's the first born... too wierd.
According to one person I talked to about the minimally invasive technique for gall bladder surgery is they go in with small instruments but they inflate the area first, snip it and pull it out one of the holes.  Ewww!  From what I've read about the procedure, I should be okay to go back to work within a week to ten days. Depending on how long they keep me in the hospital. Could be overnight, could be a day or two. I won't be able to eat anything for 24 hours before surgery most likely I just hope they don't want me to take that colonoscopy stuff that emtpies you out in 24 hours. gack..sorry just did that on my own.
The only complication is that I have a congestion cough right now from when I was tossing my stomach on Tuesday. I'm taking cough medicine to thin it out and get rid of it as fast as possible. Which reminds me, need to take some before going to bed.
Ya know... it's getting so frustrating with one thing after another.

Most of the time I don't have much fun. The rest of the time I don't have any fun at all.
