I had a very horrific gall bladder attack last night and into the wee hours of the morning. Not running a fever thankfully but I had Katie take me to the ER because it didn't feel like it was slowing down.
Of course, it did, by the time the doctor got to me. According to my blood count, it seems my pancreas numbers were elevated (which could have been from the vomiting) and the lipase numbers were high but not too bad.
The gall bladder itself is not in too bad shape, but the ER doctor said that I should make arrangements to have it taken out asap. The actual discharge diagnosis was pancreatitis and gall stones. She sent the results to my regular doctor and they called me today for a follow up. Going to see him tomorrow morning and then my regular (and likely last for another 6 weeks) appointment with Dr. C my reconstruction surgeon.
This will be my last expansion and then they let it settle. (I think I mentioned that already previously.) But now with the gall bladder surgery I'll be out of work for maybe a week at the most. Dangit!
And still no word from Oncology. Going to mention that to both doctors tomorrow and see where that goes. I haven't had enough time on my phone to sit and talk to a referral nurse or contact anyone else for a lengthy amount of time.
So anyhow, I had a 4 hour day at the fabric store. That was about as much as I could handle right now. I don't know when this new surgery is going to be scheduled so I may or may not be going to work on Friday at the nursery. ::sigh:: I suspect that unless they consider it an emergency, or they just happen to have a slot open, I should be okay for work on Friday, though judging from my stamina levels at the fabric story, 4 hours is probably going to be it for a while.
The diet recommended is high protein and carbohydrates and low fat. I think I can do that.
Oh, as for Amber, she's doing fine, but getting more and more impatient and uncomfortable as expected.
I think I'm going to change clothes and slip back into bed and catch up on some sleep. Feeling kind of pre-feverish but took my temp and it's normal
Have to move the cat off the bed. I turned on my electric blanket and he's dug in like a tick on the nice warm bed.
No quote today, I'm pooped!
