Hi ho, hi ho..it's off to work I go...

I have a doctor appointment at 9:45 and then it's off to my first near full day of work. I have the five days at the nursery and then two days at the fabric store, then I'm off from Friday to Sunday for the convention, then two days of work and then...
First day of chemo on Wednesday.
I told someone a while ago that I knew something was missing, and in my words, 'I was skating along just fine but knew the thin ice (chemo) was just ahead and I can't stop hitting it.'
So anyhow... as soon as I get some more money in the bank I'll go get a haircut. I'm overdue anyway. It's not going to be radically short, but will tell the haircutter (it's a drop in place so they're not really 'stylists') what's coming up and try to get short but not shaved.
It's supposed to rain today so I have to plan on that kind of weather with my clothes...and apparently there has been some changes in personnel at the nursery I got a hint from someone. So I get to find out who's gone and who's coming in....
This is going to be a very rough year for me.
Oh, and other news on the family front, Devon is taking care of his business, no job yet but he's got the community service in line and is doing that two days a week, eight hours a day doing 'labor'. Which is cool, he can handle it. That will be taken care of in five weeks, then he also got a stay on his fees that he had to pay back due to not having a job. Poor kid honestly thought they were going to throw him back in jail for not paying his fines since he got a call from Revenue and Recovery saying he was in violation of his probation for not paying. They're giving him a year to find a job and then likely go back and figure out what to do with that. So he's happy about that. He said he even wrote down my phone number on his hand just in case.
Having a record at 19 is not easy with employers looking for 'trustworthy' people to hire. The kid made a judgement mistake and now he's finding out just what that entails.
Okay just wanted to catch up a bit and then it's off to work to  let them know about my appointment and then will be out all day.
Oh and knitting class tonight most likely too.

I posted this quote on my facebook wall because it is just priceless!

"I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're going and hook up with them later." - Mitch Hedberg

Yeah, life's like that.
