Scheduling Snafu

I failed to realize that the last session I had was the last of the pre-scheduled appointments. I was not on the schedule today for doctor or infusion. DOH!
So, after waiting a few minutes, got called in to the scheduler and will go in tomorrow at 9:20 for blood and doctor appointment then nothing until 1:00 for the infusion. Split shift. I can drive myself to the doctor appointment, and then my friend (kind lady that she is for me) will pick me up for the infusion session.
I looked over the information they gave me for the drug they're switching me to now. Taxol according to the side effects is no worse than the previous ones I've been getting. But everyone seems to feel it's nastier. I looked and looked, and even under 'May cause nausea and vomiting' it says most people don't report nausea.
We'll just see what happens when it happens.
This gives me today free and some of tomorrow free in the middle of the day. At least I have my bag packed for tomorrow. Three possibilities for tv viewing and a non-perishable snack, knitting and stitching stuff.

Oh, Easter was fun. Downside, Ava didn't get to color eggs or go look for eggs. She was kind of bummed about that. But we took a walk through Balboa Park and she saw a squirrel taking a dust bath, some fish and some flowers. That's about her impression of the walk. I was hoping that Amber would be boiling eggs while we were gone but she was feeling lazy. I told Ava if she had good school reports this week we'd do eggs next weekend. Doesn't matter when, just so she can have the satisfaction of 'painting' eggs.
Amber proudly showed me her school grade report. She had 14 subject areas she was 'graded' in and was Advanced in 8, four were N/A (not graded) and the others were Proficient. She's smart like her mom and picks up on things fast like her dad. Amber took her to the library and they checked out Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. Yeah, not a kids book but she's reading at 3rd grade level! She read an entire paragraph to me out loud. comprehension on the other hand... but I'm pretty sure if she read it to herself she would understand most of what she read.
I have a hard time remembering and understanding what I read when I do it out loud.
Devon's birthday was uneventful, he and I hung out in the mid day walked around Walmart and had lunch at a Mexican place near it. He picked out a color in velvet poster of a Celtic knot circle. I love that kid, so easy to please!
I feel I don't do my kids enough justice. No parties ever worked out for them, only holiday that is a big deal is Christmas, and I fee like I didn't do enough for them. But... They turned out all right anyway and the girls are fantastic moms in their own right.
What more can you ask?
Well breakfast is finished, this post is coming to a close and time for the quote of the day. This one needs to be hung up on my locker at the nursery...
