We're doing okay now...

We have angels watching over us in the form of friends and family. Katie is staying and not moving out for a few reasons but for her mental health mostly. Her stepfather is ... how shall I put this..okay psycho. I won't go into details but there was a breaking point and when I reminded her that we have June already paid for rent and the kindness of a 'sister' who is helping us out and her grandmother agreeing that it was a bad idea for her to move to her mothers, she does not have to move out.
This is a big relief for all involved.
I wouldn't have minded not having a roommate, but it would have made transportation tougher for me. We can now move on, she can sign up for classes and I can bug her incessantly on looking for a job.  Unemployment sent her the notification that she will be getting her debit card but the money she's getting is less a few weeks than it should be so she sill has an issue with them.
She is like the sister I never had, a good buddy and the best roommate I ever had. We're a team really, and it's not good to break up a team.
As for me, I'm just hanging in there.  Planning on going to Disneyland again in June for my friend CJ's birthday (at her demand/request) and am saving money up now to get up there. Also saving money up to pay off the DMV to get my license/ID card and then take care of the car. Long process but... it's in the works finally now.
Trying to lose some weight too before I go to D-land. I've noticed that my feet hurt more as well as my legs and knees so that is a sign that I gained all my old weight back. I think I mentioned that before but am being more pro-active about it now, salads and not as much Mexican food ::sigh:: also cooking more at home and taking leftovers to work to save money.
Small frustration in my creative endeavors for beading. I started two different beaded ornament projects with seed beads, got half way through and ran out of beads. I now cannot find those anywhere. You would think that red seed beads are everywhere but this particular company seems to have stopped making silver lined cranberry seed beads. This is ridiculous! I am having to go online to look for them and will be buying extras. It's a perfect sparkly Christmas red I don't understand why THAT color is not to be found anywhere. The other is a purple color that I got at a bead store in Old Town that only orders once a month from that particular company (different company than the red ones). I haven't checked back there in a month so am hoping that they got some in. By chance a lady that works at that shop was at Beverly's last week and I gave her my card with the bead number I needed so she could see if they got them in. Haven't heard from her yet so I may have to look for those online as well. When these two projects are done I'll post pictures and put them up for sale on artfire.
Okay have to get ready for work, pack a lunch and get on with the day.
Katie gets to unpack some boxes she had packed already woot!
