Thanks to a very generous friend who I am indebted to many times over, I can hang on to the apartment through June and possibly another month after that. Now if I can just get Paypal to unlock my account for whatever reason it's locked. I don't know whether it's because I flubbed the log in twice or what but in order to contact them by email I have to log in... insert infinite circle of frustration here.
Creatively... Katie took some of my stuff and her stuff to a student arts and crafts show at the local college. One of my necklace and earring sets sold (luckily it wasn't listed on artfire) and she sold some earrings but none of the 'art' pieces she had rushed to make. Her brother didn't sell anything. So I have $25 from that sale. Starving students aren't interested in art, they're interested in as cheap a deal as possible for the best object. I also sold one of my glove patterns and another is pending. Finally got that listed on a knitting site and hope to have more sales from that. Need to figure out how to store a pdf so I don't have to relist the item every time.
So.. May Gray has set in the local weather. Cloudy to partly cloudy until the afternoon then it clears off for a few hours and then it resets for the next day.
Katie is still packing up her stuff to move out. I'm trying to figure out how to get places and do stuff without a resident taxi service. Bus for work is not an issue, getting groceries and doing other stuff is. She will likely still be spending time here but I can't depend on her all the time.
Oh and the good news is.. the unemployment decision was reversed, she's going to collect unemployment! Now if she had just checked the mail four days ago she would have that coming a lot sooner. As it is, we didn't check the mail until yesterday evening. If I had that kind of decision coming in the mail I would have checked it every freaking day! The mail box is in the opposite direction of where her car is parked and she was concentrating on other stuff but still. I was thinking about it constantly...
Actively working on losing some weight again. Less sugar and fat, more veggies and more water, less soda.
She's going to be leaving most of her big furniture behind and some of her dishes but I will still need to get stuff out of storage before the end of the month so I have some stuff. Amber got most of my pots and pans and some of my dishes so I might have to do some shopping for replacements. Might even get my sewing machine out.
Have to do an inventory of things I'll need and then enlist someone with a truck.
Yes my car is still down for the count and will be figuring out how to sell it very soon.
The cost of getting it fixed, registered and then getting my license back is out of the range of reasonable now.
Okay it is now time to get off and get ready for work.
