Finished!

I got my 50,000 words done and am considered a winner for NaNoWriMo!
The book still needs a lot of work, both actually, but am still plugging away at it. Using my trusty laptop I can still work on the stories and fine tune them. Going back to Journeyman's Price and tweaking it here and there. I looked at the word count for that one and it was at 50,233. Took me seven years to get that far!
As far as I'm concerned it's quality not quantity, but the early reviews say they're both good stories.
Like any artist I'm critical of my work, I know where there are glaring holes and lagging story in both and will plug away and tighten them up.
I changed the title of the second story to Avatar's Release, that way some people won't get the idea it's religion oriented. Titles are not set in stone, all the way up to final edit, so it will likely still be a working title.
Here is the url for my dropbox public folder. That has pictures of my characters, none are mine, at least two are altered photos. They should have captions but if you click on them they should have the name of the photo.

The more recent story is in two formats, Pages and Storyist. The second format is what I used to actually write it, which doesn't convert well. Pages is the more common program people use on Macs and if that doesn't work, it's in an .rtfd format.
For whatever reason, some setting is compressing the story, so again, let me know if anyone has problems downloading or reading the files.
Also... send me editorial comments! Please!  If necessary send page and paragraph citings or just general impressions or ideas.
(Oh, I do know that Avatar's Release has a weak ending..was rushed and all that so don't hammer on that one too much.)

Other than that, everything is plugging along for me. Working on Christmas presents for various people now, ornaments and knitted items. I hope to have them all done in time, but it's not like ohh, say writing a book in thirty days. ::snicker::
Just brought home a real noble fir wreath so we have the smell in the apartment. Katie and I decorated it with some small presents and garland she had. I need to go to storage and dig out what's left of my Christmas stuff, or get it from Amber.

So we're struggling to make rent again this month, but we should be okay. A little late but we'll make it and the bills.
And now that I've said all that...need to go check on finances and feeling creative now.
