This is the first in a (hopefully) new series of weekly posts. No matter how trite or boring, I want to try and post once a week every 7 days.
So I'm a day early because I know I'm going to be busy tomorrow evening being on the computer doing other things.
First.. getting old sucks.
Second... keeping to resolutions and promises is not my forté as some people have noticed.
Third... okay this is getting to be a list not a blog post.
I hope to take pictures of random flowers and such for each post as well just to make it more interesting. Camellias are in bloom right now and showing fantastic color, there's a hummingbird making her nest in one of the ficus at work and incredible textures of plants.
Mid winter in San Diego means temps in the 70's during the day and only dropping into the low 50's to high 40's at night. Makes the animals and plants think it's spring or something!
So, trying to be more creative and keep to it this year, that includes writing. First hurdle is getting our act together for having a dealers space at ConDor Convention at the end of March. Being sporadically creative sucks at times like this.
I want to interject something that I think my kids are awesome! Now almost every mom can say that, but this is a point of pride for me. Even though none of them have a college diploma (yet), two out of three have jobs, and none of them are exceedingly rich (in fact either penniless or hovering at poverty). I think they are the most awesome people on the planet. Despite all the things they have had to overcome they are wonderfully giving, aware, loving and devoted people.
Love them all to bits! (and their kids too!)
One thing to mention about my health, a side effect of having some of my lymph nodes removed from my right side is now increasing the lymphedema in my right arm. It's increased the last few weeks and am trying to massage it and other areas to reduce it. I won't see my oncologist until April so need to call the therapist and see her about getting fitted for a sleeve. Sigh. It'll make my arm less mobile which I can at least move my arm right now, so it's a tough decision.
Anyway I think that's good for now, I'm on facebook regularly so if there's any questions or concerns just holler!
