On February 9 I marked the start of my 16th year working at the nursery. I celebrated on Valentines day by taking Devon and Katie to Sea World. We were going to go to Legoland, but a shorter drive was wiser.
The weather was wonderful, picture perfect San Diego day. I finally got to ride the Manta coaster, twice, and it was great! We all had a blast, though my thoughts kept remembering the last time we went was with CeeJay.
My dear friend has been in the hospital now for a little over a week from her insulin pump failing and sending her to the hospital. We don't have any solid information on her status as it was coming from a third hand source. I will be calling hopefully on Sunday to try and get hold of her husband or son and see what is going on.
Last weekend Katie rented Ender's Game and the three of us sat on the couch, ate pizza and watched an amazing movie. Very emotional for us all, and then I heard that CJ wasn't doing as well and I was an emotional wreck for about two hours.
We then found it at Vons for $17 and brought it home for good. Which reminds me that I need to message Devon and remind him he needs to bring it back from his friends house.
Katie and I are paid up for having two tables at ConDor Convention at the end of March. We did some brainstorming tonight and hope to crank out a few more projects and get some display ideas nailed down. Literally.
I am writing this at almost 1 am because I had an extra coke tonight and that is more caffeine than I usually have.
There are so many projects that I want to do but... just don't know how to do them.
I'm limited on the types of crafts that I can do, and of course there's writing. We're planning on bringing a chapter or two of our stories to have on our table as well. Crossing fingers on that, even though we know there won't be any publishers or editors there, it's worth the exposure to other authors.
Okay head is feeling wobbly now, time to get to bed and try some sleep.
I want to do something like this. We already have a premade choker band, just have to add the stuff to it. We'll see how it works out.
