Going to need another bag.

Saturday April 25, 2015
I have received a few gifts from my hostess/sister/friend Miki. Not to mention the items I bought for myself while touristing.
I also brought a few things for her, a pair of arm 'gaiters', tough fabric sleeves that will keep her arms safe from thorns and nettles while she clears her perimeter. In return she gave me a 'huntress bracelet' it is apparently eyes in the Northwest art style and is fitting for my character in Pandora.

I have decided that it is time for a change in jewelry, I've worn my turquoise bracelet for years, because it is a piece of my family. It was in my mom's jewelry box and when she died I made sure to get it. It is an antique and one of a kind likely picked up in New Mexico or somewhere by one of my aunts.
But when Miki gave this to me, despite it being just a tad loose, I am wearing it in place of my previous bracelet. The decoration is stylized bear eyes, and it's a protection symbol.
The reason why it's meaningful is our characters in Second Life Pandora. I play the lead hunter and protector of the clan since our clan leader is absent. She plays the tsahik, the spiritual leader (and no we are not mated, she's already mated but like the movie her mate is gone though I still have hopes he will return).  The stone necklace was inspired by the necklace that Grace Augustine wears in the movie, a series of rough stones strung on cord, I used green and blue rough turquoise and a large oval green and blue flat stone for the pendant. Leaving strands of string below it as 'roots' of Pandora, it's her tsahik necklace. (Miki, try and get a picture of it please? I never got one).
This is meaningful to us and that is what counts.  We are sisters of the heart and I am forever grateful that we met and were able to finally see each other.
