Grey Ghost? Silver Streak? Granny Mobile? |
Looks darker than it is. 2005 Honda CR-V silver with black interior. More mileage on it than my other car but it is younger and drives tighter and smoother. AC, radio and speakers all work, only downsides is my phone mount is now on the left corner above the vent, not as convenient to insert or take phone out in tight space. No room between the front seats for our little trash can so will have to use a trash bag hung somewhere. Car mats for front and rear seats were included, we asked that they vacuum them and clean off the excess cleaner they used in the cargo area. Rear seats fold down then forward so a slightly more inconvenient and smaller cargo area. Just different nuances that have to get used to. Engine is good, only one light that is on for the VSA which is the Vehicle Stability Assist, owners manual says it's driveable and does not pose a problem but there is a button for it in the driver area so will have to fiddle with that to see if it goes off.
All done, all pretty.
Still need to get used to driving it. After driving my other car almost every day for four years, it's got some major differences on the interior as well. Lots of room, back seats fold differently but meh. Lots of headroom and leg room, lovely soft cloth bucket seats. Just got insurance changed and monthly only went up by a dollar. Whoot! Have to contact DMV dealer said they would take care of the change over but don't want to take any chances. I'll get the actual title and reg likely in the mail but have all the paperwork necessary in a big folder.
Other than that, got a license renewal in the mail for me. Birthday is in October and this is June, gives me plenty of time to get my paperwork all in a row to get the Real ID. Jon's doesn't come up until 2024 but he wants to change to the other ID now when he gets his birth certificate.
Gardening is going good, one lead on a job for me but it's at Lowe's and trying to get hold of the guy that called was impossible. His message gave his extension but if you've ever called someplace like that it's hard as hell to get anyone to pick up the phone. Stupid phone system. At least with HD you could say Manager and it would ask what extension. He was only there until 2 and we had to go pick up my car before then. So.... we may drive over there and I'll just go up to customer service and ask if he's there today and talk to him personally. The position is for Merchandising Garden day shift. Now, what they mean by day shift is questionable, the equivalent MET department for garden is also questionable. If it's like HD it involves a lot of ladder work and trying to find product. If it's just for arranging and watering plants, I'm the person they need. Will see how it goes tomorrow. I only need another full time job for three years and then I can apply for retirement.
