Still waiting but now it's raining!

It is really raining now thankfully. It was overcast, cold and windless yesterday which meant that today would be windy and rainy and cold. It's wonderful to sit and look out the window at the rainy sky. If I had a full covered porch with a small space heater I would sit and knit and watch the trees and rain and Rocky go nuts (needless to say he didn't get his walk this morning). This is a slow, steady soaking rain which is what we need, for months on end during the winter. Not happening any time soon with the weather shifting as it is.

'Oh give me a home, where my kitty can roam and the porch is covered from storms. Where nary is heard a discordant loud word and the skies may be cloudy all day.'

EBT is a joke if you have to buy fast food or restaurant food. Most of the list is McDonalds and Jack in the Box. Though I discovered that Denny's does take it but that isn't something you can buy and take home. Our fridge is tiny and can't hold much in the way of leftovers or even things to cook. We've lost more things at the back and bottom shelf than eaten I suspect. Take and bake pizza? Not happening, stove is even smaller and can just fit a 12x14 cookie sheet.

So Jon gets his money tomorrow, still haven't heard anything back about mine. My phone rang this morning just as I was waking up around 8 and it was an unknown number, answered anyway... 'Hello, this is a call to remind you about the student loan forgiveness program'.. grrrrrr.  The SS email said that I may get a cal outside normal business hours so I have to keep my phone with me and the ringer not on silent or vibrate only at all times just in case and hope that the number comes up as 'Social Security' or something.

Lights just flickered and it's blustering again, going to leave with this picture of the pepper tree and hope to have a better update later.
