Searches of a different sort

On my garden blog I started talking about a small shard of pottery I found when I was digging in a new area and before I knew it was going down the rabbit hole of trying to find out what it was, where it came from and such.

Doing some sleuthing on the image, it's not corn, could be Calla Lily. That's more like the center of a spathiphylum (pine cone looking part called a spadix but also found in Callas) and it's kind of odd where the break is and where the leaves are curled, it would seem that would be the top of a pot but it's hard to say. I would say either Italian  or Mexican art, would be cool to find out where it came from. Didn't find any other pieces. From an initial search it is possibly an Italian Majolica style pottery shard. Given the area we're in it could still be from Mexico but without knowing if the garden area was just filled with random dirt from the dump or someone used piece of potter there for some reason hard to say.

Anyway... brain wants to go everywhere that might produce results because I'm not getting anywhere in reality. Need to call SS to find out about getting additional amount for being an ex spouse, we went to storage today instead to take back the Christmas boxes and offload the empty boxes in the back of the car. I still need to clean that mat in the back and we aren't allowed to do 'car work' in the parking lot. I swear all we need to do is take it to a self serve car wash on a nice warm day and wash them then wait for it to dry. Other people have used vinegar and a little dish soap in water..hmm I just used that as a weed killer....

We're down to the dregs for money, luckily I get SS on Wednesday. We'll be getting hair cuts and some other things after rent is paid and save out some for next month's rent. Can't wait for tax refund to come in and get caught up on everything!
