Man am I sore but it's worth it.

Just finished three days of digging a new bed for my garden plot. Hooboy! I'm getting exercise for sure in all this so haven't been stretching. Went for a walk four days ago with Jon at Santee Lakes and that was a workout too.

I'm trying honestly to be a good girl and get moving more. Food choices..not as good but that's something else entirely.

Still looking at houses and areas to move to, pretty much tapped out everything in the corridor of Washington I want to look at so shifted search down to Oregon. Oddly enough, there's several choices that are less expensive not only for price but taxes as well. Yes I look at that too. As I said, I'm looking at the big picture as well.

I found one place, 3bd/2ba south east of Salem Oregon, nice area, a bit flat but still nice. The outside looks a bit rough, mobile home built in '92 since I added the filter of nothing younger than '89 for materials reasons on Jon's advice on his experience.

Monmouth, OR. Small town in Willamette Valley. Outside looks a bit rough but to be expected with something from '92. Kind of odd that it has the white lattice blocking the view for the front door but okay.

Then there's the backyard:

Okay, again a bit rough, been neglected but nothing I can't work with. Since it's only been listed on Zillow for 3 days it may well get snapped up, just because the disparity between the outside and the inside (which is obviously professionally staged).

Just have to show the master bath sinks. I can imagine it had a whirlpool tub under the window, so they just ripped that out as well and replaced it with a shower which from what tidbit of I saw they cheaped out on.

Let's just say the entire inside has been gutted and redone. The living room, master and kitchen are the only rooms with decor and furniture. It looks like a model home. All flooring and walls have been redone, kitchen appliances, w/d and all that are brand new.

It doesn't even look like the same place but the view out the window matches what's in the yard.

It didn't occur to me until last night going to bed there may be a very good reason why.
Previous owners may have well be smokers and owned it since it was built. In that sort of situation the only option is to tear it all out from the studs and rebuild. That's why the outside wasn't touched. The ceiling and walls are pristine the kitchen is all updated and the kicker is it's only $130k.
Now the listing said 'everything inside is included'...does that mean the furniture too? If not, then don't make a blanket statement like that.

It's so tempting to contact the realtor and pepper them with questions and contact the lender that's been pestering me. We just don't have the money to move. I mentioned before a minimum of $2k just to hire movers for all the stuff we have and we aren't prepared with all the broken down boxes that need to be done in storage.

I would love to have the other property because it would still be in CA but... this is all still dreams and wishes right now. I did check and Monmouth is in the USDA eligibility area for loans because it is mostly rural and mid to lower income.
I looked around at the area and yes, it would be a bit of a drive to get to 'civilization' as far as major grocery chain, Costco and Walmart oh and something else interesting, from 1869-2002 it was a dry city. No liquor stores at all within the city. It was finally overturned in 2002 by popular vote. That means there's going to be a lot of stores and grocery places that still may not have any liquor. We don't really care thankfully but the occasional beer for Jon would be nice.
Anyway... that's my latest find on the market.

Still want that house at Clear Lake.
