Had to call the optometry place to check on my glasses because they were supposed to be done by Monday. Well still no call by Tuesday so I called them and apparently they were in a wrong drawer or something because the technician said they weren't ready, checked the tracking, they were there then said 'let me check one more place' and there they were.
So larger lens size and completely different, harking back to 80's big frame style but it was the only pair that were in a rose gold/pale gold color that looks best on me. I don't like glasses to be obvious with darker color and all that but had hoped some of the colored frames worked but they didn't.
I don't usually take pictures of myself and that background is typical bedroom but there it is (and yes, that is a Star Wars shirt I'm wearing). It's making me kind of motion sick looking around and definitely weird looking at the ground to walk because it's that slight curve in the ground from the new prescription warps the view. My left eye was a little worse with the cataract and the optometrist said if it really bothers me in another few months then contact her and we can start looking at surgery. It is annoying at this point having a foggy patch in my view and I can't afford surgery at this point.
Such is the life of getting old. Which it didn't happen but of all the things that can happen I'm good with this. Devon's birthday was yesterday and forgot to message him. He's 32 this year and memories of our trip to Washington came up with pictures from his 'party' at my friend Miki's. His 21st birthday and he spent it there. Most kids would be out partying but no, I had to drag him to WA but I'm pretty sure he enjoyed it.
That's all the news worth reporting, more updates as they happen.
